Pearson Student Mobile Device Survey 2013 California Data Sheeted Questionnaire April 19, 2013 sample includes 401 California students in grades 6 through 12: o 200 middle school (6 th -8 th grade) students o 201 high school (9 th -12 th grade) students Qualified middle school and high school students were 10-18 year old California residents and were enrolled in 6 th through 12 th grades. Data were weighted to be representative of the respective groups. This survey was part of a larger study on a national sample of 4 th through 12 th graders, including oversamples in California, Florida, New York, and Texas. The survey also included a national sample of college students. The respondents from this report comprise of California residents in a national sample as well as an oversample of California residents. Interviewing was conducted online from January 28 February 24, 2013. Notes on reading the results The percentage of respondents has been included for each item. A dash represents a value of zero. An asterisk represents a value greater than zero but less than one. Percentages may not always add up to 100% because of computer rounding or the acceptance of multiple answers from respondents answering that question. Note: Low bases are indicated with an asterisk next to the base number. Very low bases are indicated with two asterisks. Pearson Student Mobile Device Survey 2013 California page 1 of 28
