Dear PNW Kiwanian, We have received confirmation from Kiwanis International that you have registered for the 93 rd Annual Kiwanis International Convention in Orlando, Florida! This convention promises to be one of our very best trips ever as we have the opportunity to launch our own Sylvester Neal on the path to becoming Kiwanis International President by electing him this year as International Vice President. Enclosed with this letter is information regarding our District Dinner on Thursday, June 26 th which will be held in Ballroom C of the Rosen Plaza Hotel our District Headquarters for the convention. Check out the Tropical Menu on the enclosed flyer. Yum! We will also be dancing to the music of Cinnamon Bay a Jimmy Buffett style band. Of course, this is also the night before the election so I would not be surprised if an Election Eve Campaign Rally for Sylvester broke out. Sylvester and Doris will be with us for the evening so this is a great opportunity to hob-nob with them so that, later, we can all say that we knew them when! Be sure to get your District Dinner order back to the District Office by Friday, June 20 th so that we can reserve a spot for you! We are also including an order form for our 2008 PNW Orlando International Convention pin. We think that this pin will be one of the most sought after traders this year because of the unique design which incorporates a very familiar Orlando landmark that we know many of you will spend some time at! In order to mount a successful campaign for Sylvester, it is very important that all PNW Kiwanians attend the District Caucus which will be held on Thursday, June 26 th at 12:00 Noon in Ballroom A of the Rosen Plaza Hotel. If you are a delegate from your club or a delegate at large, it is especially critical that you attend this meeting but we hope everyone will come! Members of the 2007-2008 District Board of Trustees should make a note that Governor Rich has decided that we WILL NOT HAVE a Board of Trustees Meeting in Florida this year. The shortened Convention Schedule makes it difficult to find a convenient time to hold the meeting and the International Convention is always a difficult place for the Board to deal with any substantive issues. Looking forward to seeing all of you in Orlando! Cleve E. Parker District Secretary & Treasurer
