J. L. Glover Educational Fund Scholarship Program Guidelines For Scholastic Year 2013-2014 Purpose: The J. L. Glover Educational Fund has been established for the purpose of providing financial assistance to students, both those from Georgia Baptist Children's Homes and Family Ministries, Inc. and other students, for college or university attendance in accordance with the standards and criteria set forth. Eligibility Requirements: Applicant must: 1. Show that assistance is necessary in order that he or she be able to attend an institution that he or she would otherwise be unable to attend. 2. Have exemplary scholastic record and have been accepted at exceptional colleges and universities ranked in the top twenty-five (25) nationally by U.S. News and World Report (see list on next page), but who, despite other scholarship assistance, need additional funding to allow attendance. 3. Attend a Coweta County public high school. Selection Process: The Scholarship Committee appointed by Georgia Baptist Children's Homes and Family Ministries, Inc. will administer the J. L. Glover Educational Fund scholarship program. I. Seniors who meet the eligibility requirements may apply for one achievement-based scholarship in the amount of $2,500.00. 2. Completed application form and all required documents must be received by the Scholarship Awards Committee between January 1 and February 28 to be considered for the fall term. 3. The completed application packet should be sent to: Scholarship Committee, Georgia Baptist Children's Homes and Family Ministries, PO Box 329, Palmetto, GA 30268. 4. The applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee and those selected to advance to the interview phase will be notified by March 15`h. 5. Interviews will be held during March and April and the scholarship recipient will be notified by May 1 st. 6. Requests for renewal of funds must be filed annually. It is the applicant's responsibility to request and return the application forms. Such requests will be given the same consideration as those from new applicants. 7.
