All first year students (except those accepted into the Nursing Program) must be placed in an English composition course and a math course in their first semester. 2. All first year students (except those accepted into the Nursing Program or in the first year track of the Petroleum Tech program) who are under the age of 21 or have completed less than 12 credits at another institution of higher education must be placed in a freshman seminar course. 3.
