In the 2013-2014 school year, Meadowvale will begin offering a regional International Business and Technology (IBT) laptop program. A key feature of this program will be the incorporation of many different 21st Century learning technologies to enrich the regular secondary school program and help prepare students for further post-secondary study. Meadowvale also offers a Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) program in Construction Technology. The Construction Major offers students the opportunity to develop specialized skills in interior design, architecture, carpentry, plumbing and electricity. In addition, Meadowvale offers a Laptop Learning program for junior students, and Advanced Placement (AP) courses in certain senior courses allowing students to earn credits recognized by some universities while still in high school. Students can also participate in dual credit courses at local colleges through our extensive co-operative education program. With over 60 extracurricular activities and an integrated Character Counts program, there are many opportunities to enrich high school life. 135
