Check your passport for validity Your passport should be valid for 6 months after the reentry date to the US. The US has an agreement with several countries that would extend the period of validity of your passport for six months beyond the expiration date, so check to see if you qualify.

Immigration Topics Continued Check your I-20 for a valid travel signature Look at page 3 of the I-20 and ensure the signature will be less than 12 months old by the date that you plan to re-enter the U.S. We recommend that you get a new travel signature and carry your immigration documents with you even if you are traveling within the U.S., especially close to the border, as you could be stopped at an immigration checkpoint. For non-immigrant students and scholars living off campus: remember to update USCIS of your new address online (within 10 days of moving) at https://egov.uscis.gov/coa/displaycoaform.do And to also notify the Trinity ISSS office of your new address Employment in F-1 Status Workshop (Wednesday, January 22) Learn about requirements for both oncampus and off-campus employment, discuss CPT and OPT opportunities, and inform yourself about regulations for working and remaining in status Career Planning Workshop with Trinity Career Services (Monday, February 24) Thinking about the career you would like to pursue after graduation but don't know where to begin? They will focus on your needs and the unique situations you face building a career as an international student Post-graduation Immigration Planning Session and Q&A by Attorney David Ware (Thursday, March 21) Learn from an attorney about pursuing future career opportunities in the U.S., and also discuss the steps you need to take in order to pursue an H1B visa
