Suggestions/feedback can be emailed to: altona.green.ps@edumail.vic.gov.au 9 days until the Altona Green Primary School Fete! Please like the official fete facebook page so that you can receive daily updates. All proceeds of our fete are going towards building our new playground. In the coming weeks, we will be publishing the names of all of the companies who have very generously supported our fete so far. A huge thank you to all of the parents who are working so hard to make this event a success. If you are able to help out in any way please let us know. Swimming Champions Throughout the term some of our students have been representing Altona Green P.S. in the local swimming sports. I would like to congratulate all of the students for trying their best and demonstrating excellent KEFAR values whilst representing our school. A special mention to the following students who made it through to the Division Swimming Event which was held today: Max Holden, Wyatt Phelan, Spencer Tyers, Tia Hobbins, Aiden Nicholas, Calum Jones and Cooper Brown. Car Parking and Road Safety Reminder I understand how frustrating it can be to arrive at school and not be able to park near the gates (especially when you re running late) but please make sure you park legally and follow the parking restriction signs. It is especially important not to double park in the bike lane to let children in and out of the car. I have seen a number of incidents where children have been getting out of a car that is double parked and another car has reversed to get out of the correct parking spot and almost hit the children. Parking inspectors have been patrolling regularly over the last couple of weeks and many parents have been hit with multiple fines. If you park on the other side of the road near the grade 6 rooms, please walk the short distance to use the school crossing and model road safety to the children. Unfortunately, cars come around that bend very quickly and we want to ensure the safety of all of our parents and children. Easter Hat Parade We will be having our annual Easter Hat Parade on Thursday 29th March. That gives you just over 2 weeks for you and your child to work on their hat creation. The parade will take place under Gumbuya at 9am. 2019 Information Night We will be holding an information night on Thursday 19th April at 6:30pm for parents with children starting Prep next year. If you know anyone who would be interested in attending please let them know that they are welcome to come along and see what Altona Green P.S. has to offer.
CSEF Camps, Sports & Excursion Fund If you hold a Health Care Card and haven t already done so; please come into the office and complete a CSEF application form You will also need to bring your current health care card. LUCAS IS COMING TO ALTONA GREEN PRIMARY SCHOOL! A special Dollarmites visitor is coming to Altona Green Primary School to collect School Banking books. Lucas is excited to see you all on Tuesday 24 April. Remember, School Banking day is every Tuesday. Getting involved in School Banking is easy! All you need to get involved in the School Banking program is a Commonwealth Bank Youthsaver account. You can open an account for your child in one of two ways: 1.
