Term 4 Week 3 3 November 2016 From the Principal Dear Parents, Friends and Caregivers, SPORTS DAY Thankfully we were able to conduct another successful Sports Day at the commencement of this term. Congratulations to all students for the way they conducted themselves during the day, entering into it with team spirit and sportsmanship. Well done to White for taking out the day, congratulations also to the Red Team for winning the Spirit Shield. I would like to thank all the staff for their efforts in making the day a success, especially Mr Kym Hill for his co-ordination of the event. The weather threatened for a while, but it turned out to be a nice day with plenty of sun to warm those who were able to make it along and cheer the children as they took part in the day. ROADWORKS The current roadwork along Ramsay Avenue is to replace the mains water pipe. This is a time consuming process and interruption to our daily drop off and pick up routine could be for a while yet. Please adhere to the signage and ensure your speed is at the appropriate level. PICNIC IN THE PARK Our last day of term is traditionally a Picnic In The Park Day. This year we will be bussing the children to Belair National Park for a play and BBQ lunch. The day is open to all school community members, so if you are free please come along and join us. More information will follow closer to the event. Please be aware that children are bussed backed to school for our final assembly before ending the school year at 3:00pm. All Souls day on the following day celebrates all our relatives and friends who have died. We pray for all these people who we remember with love. Our year 4 and 5 students attended the Parish Mass on Tuesday to celebrate these special days with the parishioners. Diocesan Spring Gathering Last Saturday, Sean and myself attended a full day with other leaders, priests, nuns and parish representatives from all over the Archdiocese of Adelaide. The day was centred on how we, as parishes can move forward into the future. The day consisted of input from the facilitators as well as a lot of discussion in our parish groups. We look forward to some of our discussions coming to fruition in the near future.
