Just prior to blowing out the candles, you close your eyes and dream up wishes of everything that you would like to achieve, have, give, create, or become within the next 20 years. When you open your eyes and blow out the candles, the smoke clears and everything on your wish list has come true! We will now do an exercise that will help you brainstorm many possible wishes for three areas of your life: Personal development, material things and financial growth. Brainstorm all the dreams you would like to experience personally. These may include things like working out, losing weight, running a marathon, learning a foreign language, emotionally, spiritually, etc Now, return to the list you just made and write down one of these numbers next to each one: a 1, 3, 5, 10 or 20 based on the number of years you believe it will take to achieve each goal. Next, go back and highlight or circle each of your One-year goal(s).
