REBELS AUTO CLUB NEWSLETTER January, 2018 THE PRESIDENT S GARAGE Happy New Year Everyone! I hope that you all had a Very Happy and Safe New Year. As most of you all know we held the Elections at our last General Meeting, and we have a new Vice President Jim McNeil, and we also have some members stepping up to help as part of a Committee for our Rebels Car Show. I'm really excited to see what new and fun things that they have in store for our show. I know it doesn't seem like it now, but it's less than 90 days before the weather will be nice again, and we can all bring our Toys out from their winter rest. Car Shows will be starting up, and the Swap Meet will be happening before long too, we always need help for that. Don't forget to get your reservations in by January 13th for our Christmas Party at Misty's in Havelock on January 20th at 5:00pm. Also remember that Membership Dues are due, and if you're planning on bringing someone to the Christmas Party, get them signed up as a member, and which makes their membership almost free! You can't beat a deal like that for sure, and we're always looking for some great new people to join us, to keep the Rebels Auto Club one of the Premier Car Clubs around. SAVE THOSE POP TABS! It has been a REBELS tradition for years! During the month, Members save all of their can tabs from canned beverages, and bring them to the monthly meetings. The tabs can be given to either Margaret or Lydell Otley, who deliver them to McDonalds to help the Ronald McDonald House families. Pop Tabs prove that little things can make a big difference. Help support the Ronald McDonald House by saving your tabs during the month and bring them to the next meeting! THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROUS SUPPORT! Know anyone like this? A wife was curious when she found some old negatives in a drawer. She had them made into prints and was pleasantly surprised they were of her at a much younger and slimmer time. They were taken many years ago on one of her first dates with her husband. When she showed him the photos, his face lit up. Wow, look at that!, he said excitedly. That s my old Ford!
