PRESENT REMUNERATION PACKAGE: Pay Band 4: Rs. 37,400-67000 with basic pay of Rs. 59,100 plus Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 10,000 and Special Allowance of Rs. 3,000 with all other facilities admissible to the officials of the Government of India. INITIATIVES TAKEN AS PRINCIPAL Nourished and stabilized Shaheed Bhagat Singh College (Day) back to normal state of functioning after some unfortunate events took its toll on its morale Unified the fragmented faculty members (more than 80) into a unified force of motivated teachers, now working willingly and enthusiastically to restore the lost glory of the Shaheed Bhagat Singh College (Day) as a premier institution in the field of Commerce education in the University of Delhi. Created an enabling environment for the teachers and students to experiment with various forms of extra-curricular activities to promote talent among the students. Promotion of sports activities in the college Initiated the Commerce Faculty to organize a two-day National Level Seminar on the topic Corporate laws: Contemporary Issues, which was the first such event in the 40-year history of the college. (Now an annual feature of the college) Automation of library services and functions Automation of Accounts and Admission processes. Operationalisation of Computer lab for students of the Day college Renovation of the Computer and Geography labs for the students of the Evening College Established Remote Sensing and GIS Laboratory for the students of Geography of both the Day and Evening colleges Complete renovation of the Library of the Evening College and the Day College. Renovation of the Administration, Accounts and Principal s office of both the Evening College and the Day College Initiated the process of infrastructure development and renovation of both Day and Evening College.

Organisation of Third MESD International Conference (December 12-14, 2012) by Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College, University of Delhi in collaboration with ICN Business School (France), the CEREFIGE of the University de Lorraine (France), and the Georgia Tech Center for International Business Education and Research, Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, USA on the topic Managing MNE Dynamics and Sustainable Development:Best Strategies, Practices and Models (The conference was attended by 30 delegates from nine countries including France, USA, Sweden, Morocco, Nigeria and more than 250 delegates from India participated in the deliberations over three days on the issues relating to sustainable development and the role of the multinational enterprises.)
