Working title: UNLV Libraries experience on transforming CONTENTdm digital collections metadata into linked data: A transferable practical approach This paper is based on the computer lab script used for the workshop on linked data. It provides an overview of linked data concepts and explain step-by-step how to implement the transformation of metadata from digital collections to linked data. I believe this will be a welcome paper for professionals of the library community who are interested in understanding and applying concepts of linked data. Working title: Survival of the Fittest: The Evolution of Metadata in Digital Collections This paper is based on a poster that the authors presented at ALA 2013. This poster was very well received. We decided to write a paper in response to the interest expressed by the audience and by four journal editors. Curriculum Vitae: Silvia Barcellos Southwick 8
