BLOOMBERG INSTITUTE Bloomberg Institute is the educational extension of Bloomberg L.P., the world s leading financial data and news provider. Bloomberg Institute has leveraged Bloomberg s expertise in financial information and contacts in the finance industry to develop the Bloomberg Aptitude Test (BAT) a test designed to help students and recent alumni connect with financial employers worldwide in a more efficient and fair way. AMBASSADOR TESTIMONIALS THE WAY OF THE WORLD IS MEETING PEOPLE THROUGH OTHER PEOPLE. I first heard about the BAT Ambassador program through my business school. Considering my interests in finance and my involvement with the finance society, it looked like a great opportunity. RALPH HAGE I took the BAT myself because the feedback enabled me to benchmark myself versus other students worldwide and see where my strengths and weaknesses lay. The recruitment aspect was only an added bonus and upon completion of taking the BAT, I was receiving connection requests from numerous multinational companies. Jed and I were given the opportunity to lead our own team during the 2013 BAT Team Challenge. Our team consisted of 12 ambassadors from 7 different countries such as Portugal, Ukraine, Bulgaria and Iceland and we were competing against 14 other teams to get the greatest number of test takers. The Team Challenge was a lot of fun and allowed us to meet other BAT Ambassadors with similar interests whom we will undoubtedly stay in touch with in the years to come. London-based BAT Ambassadors also met regularly to develop strategies together and network at exclusive Bloomberg employee events (speakers, art exhibitions, etc.). 8

AMBASSADOR TESTIMONIALS WE ARE PROUD OF THE LEGACY WE HAVE LEFT BEHIND AT OUR UNIVERSITY JED DEAN We worked closely with our university to build awareness around the BAT and Bloomberg. Constant communication, both electronic and personal, is paramount in keeping the ball rolling and using the university s resources to their full potential. Over time, more and more faculty members got involved to support us and the BAT because, after all, if your university wants to be taken seriously as a business school, they must embrace the Bloomberg brand. I would highly recommend getting involved in the BAT Ambassador program, because it not only connects you with the Bloomberg brand, it also gives you notoriety among your colleagues, something for which they can remember you. The program teaches you how to capture an audience, communicate with important people and manage your time. I m very grateful for having been given the opportunity and would do it again without hesitation. 9
