During this week we celebrate with pride our identity as a Catholic School. You may have noticed articles related to Catholic Education in the Warragul and Pakenham Gazettes this week. Catholic Education Week is also a great time to reflect on all the successes at Columba. Not only are we immensely proud of our students, the learning environment and the excellence of the programs offered by the staff but we also look to the future with great excitement as the school continues to grow. We believe we are successful at Columba because Christ s example inspires all we do. Teachers work in partnership with families to provide rich and meaningful learning experiences and a faith-filled, happy and secure environment. At Columba the focus is always on what children can do and what they can be! Our motto as a staff in 2015 is 100% of the children 100% of the time! All staff take responsibility for all students and we believe in every child s potential to learn! A Prayer for Mothers and all the special women in our lives: Dear Jesus, We thank you for all mothers and carers around the world, and for all they do for their children. We thank you for their patience when we don t get things right. We thank you for their encouragement when we find life hard. We pray that mums would feel really special on Mother s Day and that you would remind us every day to show them as much love and help as they give to us. Mountain boarding was muddy. We had to wear helmets, elbow pads, knee pads and wrist pads. Happy Birthday Alex! We slept in cabins. Although some didn t get much sleep. ZZZZzzzzz
