Our Mission The mission of the Center for Pre-Professional Advising of Allied Health, Dentistry, Medicine and Law is to assist students in achieving academic success beyond the undergraduate level. This is accomplished by providing major exploration, academic resources, and strategies for achieving academic goals. Special programs and events, workshops, and individual appointments facilitate this development.

Understand the impact of your decision on your timeline to graduation. 3) Register with the Pre-Professional Advising Center. 4) Join a student organization related to your major or intended profession (Leadership). Top 10 Tips for Preparing for a Professional School 5) Pirate Tutoring Center. Go if you need help. Volunteer to tutor if you excel in an area (Teaching). 6) Volunteer. 7) Shadow a professional. 8) Reading. Stay abreast of current events and trends in your area of interest. Reading also improves test scores. 9) Attend relevant workshops, expos, and info sessions. 10) Research professional school options now.
