EIRQUEST ASSESSMENT Eirquest is a comprehensive career guidance programme designed for 3rd year students. It is based on a detailed interest questionnaire completed on-line. Eirquest is designed to assist the students: 1. Choose subjects for the Leaving Certificate 2. Highlight 8 potential Careers NB Students do not have to choose the subjects or careers suggested in your Eirquest Workbook.

Other Requirements: Individual College Matriculation Minimum requirements/grades in certain subjects ie Modern Language for general entry Course Subject Requirements Certain courses require particular subjects ie H5 in Honours Irish for primary school teaching And of course.. MATRICULATION NB: If a student is exempt from studying Irish or another Language They will be exempt from this subject as a matriculation requirement There is a process for this in 6 th year

ESTABLISHED LEAVING CERTIFICATE Two-year programme Study 7 subjects 7 subjects divided up as follows: Irish (unless exemption granted) English Maths 4 Options Possible option of an 8th Subject: LCVP or Applied Maths

WHAT IS THE LEAVING CERTIFICATE APPLIED? It is a distinct, self-contained two-year Leaving Certificate programme aimed at preparing students for adult and working life It emphasises forms of achievement and excellence which the established Leaving Certificate has not recognised in the past
