A file must be made for the project work assigned with the name, class and academic session neatly mentioned on the project file which can be covered by the brown paper. 2. Any downloaded material from the net should not be pasted directly in the form of a Xerox. 3. The project should be handwritten only. 4. Last Date of submission of project is 11 July, 2017. ENGLISH Elevate your learning experience! Express yourself! Explore the world! Innovate and Create! Innovation is a key element in doing the summer assignment, having fun as you learn is our aim and goal! Follow the instructions and step by step guide as you will find out that the English homework helps you to be observant, expressive and innovative! 1. Make a file/folder or scrapbook of about 6-8 A4 size sheets. 2. The title page should have the heading- Innovate and Create! 3. Use 1 page to create a profile of the famous author, Ruskin Bond. Put pictures and interesting information about him. OR Use a page to design a book cover for Ruskin Bond s The adventures of Rusty. Be as colourful, artistic and creative as you can be.

4. Use about 4-5 sheets to create an IDIOM BANK. Divide each sheet into halves and write an idiom and add a small picture/cartoon or illustration. Write one innovative and interesting usage or example of that idiom. Your 8 or 10 idioms should be from any one or two of the following themes: a. Idioms related to animals b. Idioms related to body parts c. Idioms related to food or flavours d. Idioms related to describing character or personality traits 5. Use two pages to write an original article on the following topic to be included in the school year book 10 new ideas or innovations that can improve our standard of living or the quality of our life *Write ten clear points: Brief and yet descriptive. You may take help but be as unique in your ideas as possible. MATH Maths is all about loving numbers and understanding how life revolves around it. During these holidays let s read, research and explore-history of Mathematics, uses and applications of Mathematical concepts learnt in school. You can innovate a new concept or present an old concept in an innovative way. Make a model to present your idea. You can also choose any topic for your model from the following list(only one model) :- * Platonic Solids *Origami and Maths concepts *Top Indian Mathematicians and their inventions *Inventions in Science due to Mathematics. * Maths concepts used in medical equipments eg. BP machine, weighing machine, automatic wheel chair, etc. * Maths concept used in establishing transportation network in India eg. Indian Railways - railway track, online menu card, berth and food options.
