Roundtable- iriv Iriv- association created in 1997 in order to enhance lifelong learning with volunteering as an example of non formal and informal learning First topic- since 1997 - training volunteers & improving volunteering with its link with labour market Second topic- migration since 2003 training for professionals working with migrants & tools for migrant to enhance access to training & labour market Iriv Conseil- private training body with the official agreement of the DIRECCTE (Ministry for social affairs and employment) and so able to deliver an official document of training

Goals of the workshop On the basis of a project- the Vintage 1- being able to apply the competence approach in a learning process- European frameworks for key competences & common European framework of Reference for Language (CEFR) 2- being able to combine different expertise to prepare and deliver a training using different tools & methods to address diverse profiles of learners 3- being able to develop a critical approach & thinking on one s learning & education practice and to test alternative pedagogical strategy

Improving educational practices & learning 1- combining theory and practice using the VET approach and adult education principles (being as clear and flexible as possible) & the linguistic approach (didactics & linguistics & teaching a language as a foreign language) 2- combining learning & e-learning- classical & face to face learning in a class room & e-learning & digital tools from home and/or from a location dedicated to selflearning

Goals & aims feedback from the participants 1- are the goals of the workshop answering your expectations? 2- would you have any other expectation/demand for the workshop to express?

Outcomes of the Vintage Framework- Erasmus + (2014-2016) initiated by ECAP in 6 countries- Switzerland, France, Germany, Italy + Greece & Norway with 3 main milestones 1. 2014- report on the VET & linguistic approach implemented in the 4 countries with migrant public using the macro/ meso / micro grid 2. 2015- building network of stakeholders and meeting in a conference (Paris) to share experience 3. 2016- testing the platform with the best practices & the training course with the assessment to implement among learners the tool & strategy

Outcomes - feedback 1. are you familiar with the Erasmus + program? Have you been involved in such a program? 2. Are you familiar with the macro/meso/micro level? Do you find it relevant for your practice? 3. What are the networks you are involved in: did you build them in classical ways (face to face/meetings/conferences)? Or at a distance (LinkedIn network)? 4. Are you familiar with elearning platform? What are your experiences in the field?

Testing the Vintage- trainers Iriv Conseil- private training body with relevant experience in VET & offering a monthly club at the Cité des Métiers since 2012 FISPE- association created in 2015 in the framework of the Vintage with the aim to implement social and professional integration through linguistic learning - not for profit organization offering different training opportunities including a weekly workshop - http://www.fispe.fr/

Theatre Tremplin, an association using theatre for learning 4. France Terre d Asile, an association in charge of refugees 5. COALLIA, a training body specialized in VET & language 6. iriv - monthly club of iriv at the Cité des Métiers 7. Cité des Métiers- facebook pages & direct emailing

Testing Vintage- location of the training Cité des Métiers in Paris dedicated to VET with 5 main topics or issues 1. Looking for a job councilors from the National employment agency 2. Looking for a Vocation Education & training- councilors from training bodies such as the GRETA 3. Looking for studies- councilors from the ONISEP 4. Testing Vintage- public number- 25 participants in total but 22 attended at least 4 sessions in 2 groups gender: 13 female migrants & 12 male migrants Level of education: school at least to 16 years in their countries of origin- being able to read, write and speak Countries of origin: Europe (Bulgaria, Spain and Georgia), Africa (Algeria, Congo, Egypt, Ethiopia, Guinée, Mali, Senegal, Soudan and Tchad), Latin America (Cuba), Asia (China)

Testing the training- swot Positive points Combination between language learning & VET & ICT Two different profiles for the trainers- VET (iriv) and language (FISPE) Trainers with foreign backgrounds more sensitive to the linguistic/professional barriers The Cité des Métiers is a place where all kinds of professional pathways can be though of (5 profiles of councilors according to the 5 topics described supra) with a place dedicated to elearning Negative points Not the same rythm between the two learnings (more time required for language) & elearning at home Maybe too much intensive (6 sessions in 3 weeks) and access required to a computer & Internet High number of participants in the morning/less in the afternoon & slow feedback at a distance The Cité des Métiers is better fit for VET & self learning & elearning than for linguistic training (higher intensity of voice required)

A tool & method to design, implement & assess a course combining VET & linguistic learning available by ICT with examples of best practices in 4 languages (Englih, Frenc, German & Italian) 3. A data bank to share information among the networks built in the 4 countries

A weblog in France http://www.vintage-language.fr Goal- to complement the general portal in France with all the content in French Events implemented : workforce (may 2015) & EU conference (October 2015) & testing (April 2016) Outputs achieved : national reports & guidelines training course delivered Networks built in France Main references : on European & national levels Useful contacts : in Europe, in France & in Ile de France
