AGE: (i) For Scientist C Post: Not exceeding 40 years for Scientist C Post. Relaxable upto 5 years for Government Servants, and SC/ST/OBC candidates in accordance with instructions issued by Department of Personnel and Training from time to time. (ii) For Scientist B Posts: Not exceeding 35 years for Scientist B Post. Relaxable upto 5 years for Government Servants, and SC/ST/OBC candidates in accordance with instructions issued by Department of Personnel and Training from time to time. (iii) The staff members working / worked on Long terms project at ICMR Hqrs/ Institutes /Centres will be given one time age relaxation as per rules. General Relaxation Clause: Age, qualifications and experience will be relaxable in deserving cases as mentioned in the Recruitment Rules of Health Research Scientist Cadre 2007 of ICMR under Rule 14 and Note 1 & 2 of Schedule III. Allowances as per Central Government Rules are admissible on the above pay scale. Benefit of new restructured defined contributory pension scheme is admissible as per the provision contained in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (ECB & PR Division), Notification No.5/7/2003-ECB & PR dated 22-12-2003 effective from 01-01-2004.
