Students Attend Native Youth Leadership Summit FCCLA STAR Event : The Winner s Corner Aaliyah Whitaker & JaNeigh Lardpor - 3rd place in LIve Event Planning Ashley baker - 2nd place In Children s Literature Sara Remer - 2nd place in Career Investigation Robotics Team: Qualified to go to state competition: Duston Chesney(captain), Brianna Henshaw, Phuong Nguyen, Robert Parker, Tyler Roberts, Madison Fulton MHS had three students who attended the First ever Oklahoma Native Youth Leadership Conference in Sulphur Oklahoma at the Chickasaw Nation Conference Center. The students were engaged in 3 days of leadership workshops and exercises that dealt primarily with start up businesses, building a business plan and the programs available through the federal government and the tribes to establish, market and implement Native owned businesses. The 3 young men attended the summit during their Thanksgiving break and spent 3 days interacting with Native youth from across the country.
