The Council carries out its activities and function through its network of 5 Institutes/Units located in Chennai, Puducherry, Thiruvananthapuram, Palayamkottai and Mettur dam. There is also an attractive performance based time-bound In-situ promotion scheme and special allowance for Group - A Medical Doctors and Non- Medical Scientists of this Council. Applications are invited for the following posts to be filled by Direct Recruitment. 1. Name of the posts : Research Officer (Siddha) 2. Desirable:- General Conditions of the Service:- 1. 3 Yrs service as Home Guard/ Civil Volunteers. 1. Candidates who have applied in response to earlier advertisement are also requested to apply afresh. 2. These posts are temporary but likely to be continued. The fresh appointee shall be governed by New Pension Scheme. The candidate selected will be on probation for the period of two years and is liable to transfer anywhere in India including CCRS Institutes/Centre/Units/Hqrs etc. 3. The application forms can be downloaded from the Website www.crisiddha.tn.nic.in Candidates desiring to receive the application form by post are requested to send requisition along with sufficiently stamped self-addressed envelope. The application along with self-attested copies of educational qualifications, experience, age, community certificate etc should be enclosed along with the application with two recent passport size photographs, apart from that one recent passport size photograph has to be affixed in the first page of the application on the space provided and a demand draft for Rs.100/- for OBC/General candidates and Rs.20/- for SC/ST candidates, which has to be drawn in favour of Central Council for Research In Siddha, payable at Chennai. Original certificates have to be produced at the time of written test/interview. Testimonials and certificates should be produced by the physically Handicapped and Women candidates, who are exempted from the application fee. The candidates should mention Application for the post of in bold letters on the right side top of the envelope. 4. The date, time and venue of the written test, interview will be communicated to the candidates, for which candidates are requested to enclose one self-addressed envelope (11x5cm) affixing postal stamps worth Rs.25/- along with the duly filled in prescribed Application Form in a separate cover. 5. Relaxation is admissible for SC/ST/OBC/PH/ candidates/govt. servants etc as per the Central Govt. Rules, which are in force. There is no age bar for the employees of CCRS. 6. The application for the above mentioned posts have to be submitted by 31-01-2014. The application received after due date will not be considered under any circumstances. 7. Persons already in service must submit their application through proper channel. While forwarding the applications of in-service candidates, Heads of the Institutions should certify that the applicants are free from the Administrative and Vigilance angle

and that no vigilance proceedings are pending/contemplated against the candidates. Photocopies of ACRs/APAR s dossiers of the candidate s for the last 5 years have to be forwarded through proper channel along with the application. 8. Candidates who are short listed/qualifying for interview will be paid 2 nd class railway fare for to and fro journey by the shortest route as per the rules against production of the Railway Tickets. 9. Late application/incomplete applications or applications received without Demand Draft, self-attested copies of experience, academic qualification, age and community etc will be summarily rejected. 10.
