9th and 10th Grade - ALL 9 th & 10 th students are IB MYP students. - Over 90% of 9 th & 10 th grade courses use the IB philosophy. - All Freshman and Sophomores are required to take a 2 nd language. - All 10 th grade students will participate in the Personal Project.

IB Assessment Scale Each subject (Higher or Standard) is graded on a scale from 1 to 7, where: 7 = excellent 6 = very good 5 = good 4 = satisfactory PASSING SCORE 3 = mediocre 2 = poor 1 = very poor The points are then added together. A sum of 24 earns the diploma.

Texas Senate Bill 111 In 2005, the Texas Legislature passed Senate Bill 111 that mandates Texas public colleges and universities to grant 24 credit hours to students receiving the IB diploma. To receive the IB diploma, students must attain a total of 24 or higher on six exams, taken and pass the Theory of Knowledge class, engage CAS hours and have submitted their Extended Essay.
