Fall 2017 International Graduate Admission Shanghai Jiao Tong University () is an international institution located in one of the world s most international cities. Each year we admit students from nearly 80 countries making the university a rich and diverse learning environment. We offer a wide range of graduate programs to international students including 61 master programs and 39 doctoral programs in 25 different schools/departments. The study duration for master programs is years (full-time), and that for doctoral programs is 3-4 years (full-time). Upon completion of the program curriculum, passing the thesis dissertation review and defense within the specified duration, corresponding degree and diploma will be awarded. Please check the program list for detailed information on respective programs. ELIGIBILITY The following are general requirements you should meet to apply to the International Graduate Program. Non-Chinese citizen. Not registered in at the degree level aiming to apply. Good health both physically and mentally. Outstanding academic performance and potential. Bachelor's degree or equivalent for master program applicants. The degree must be ready prior to the registration day. Master's degree or equivalent for doctoral program applicants. The degree must be ready prior to the registration day. Demonstrated proficiency in Chinese for programs taught in Chinese: HSK band 5: 180; or Requirement waived only if you meet one of the following criteria:
You attended a three-year middle/high school in China and graduated from that school. You attended a four-year undergraduate program in China and are a graduate of that program. Demonstrated proficiency in English for programs taught in English: IELTS: 6; or TOEFL: 575 PBT, 90 ibt; or Requirement waived only if you meet one of the following criteria: You are a native English speaker. You attended a four-year undergraduate program in the United States, UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong and are a graduate of that program. Step 2: Pay the Application Fee The application fee is RMB 800 or USD 120, non-refundable and non-transferable. Payment must be made using RMB or USD. You can choose online payment or bank transfer in the online application system. TUITION AND HOUSING FEES Tuition*: RMB 28,900/Year for Master programs (Approx. USD 4,300/ Year) RMB 45,500/Year for Doctoral programs (Approx. USD 6,800/Year) On-campus housing: RMB 50-160/Day (Approx. USD 8-25/Day) *Tuition may differ for special programs offered by Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance, Antai College of Economics & Management, School of International & Public Affairs, and Koguan Law School. How to Apply For Chinese Government Scholarship (Doctoral Type A1 and Master Type A), applications must be made at both China Scholarship Council (CSC) (http://laihua.csc.edu.cn) and Study@ (http://apply.sjtu.edu.cn/).
