Print Tip of the month from Elmari Steyn: Warm up 2 small wheat bags in the microwave. Place them around your Hard Ground container for a few minutes..(loosen the lid to let gasses escape). Now your Hard Ground will flow easier. It will also last longer. A wonderful link to a short MOMA video about Degas and Monoprints. Worthwhile watching. http://www.moma.org/calendar/exhibitions/1613 4

Surrounded by the artistic culture in Ubud you will discover the secrets of linocut. Be inspired and invigorated by this creative journey. All materials provided and accommodation is at the beautiful Arma Resort. Breakfast, lunch and pick up from the airport included. Also included entry to the Arma Museum during your stay and an Arma Museum guided tour." https://ubudartworkshops.com/" This workshop is an ideal forum to expand linocut skills while engaging in a new environment with students from diverse backgrounds. While beginners will be given step by step instruction more advanced students will be encouraged to work on their own ideas. The cultural input from Bali- this small but intensely artistic place is an interesting exchange for those of us in the west who often have little knowledge of Asian cultures and philosophy. This input can be particularly invigorating for artists who are encouraged to further develop their own thematic concerns and to look at their own work in a new way with the benefit of this perspective." 8
