Programme Objective: The Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Finance (PGCPF) is a customised, comprehensive & rigorous programme to prepare future banking and finance professionals. This programme not only provides participants the knowledge of operational aspects of banking and finance but also helps in building managerial and technical skills. The programme offers a unique blend of Global Prospective in Banking & Finance with hands on experience in practical aspects of the financial markets. Besides that, the programme supplements with the background of Indian economic environment and also offers the exposure to other functional areas of management. This Programme is a judicious mix of quantitative techniques and qualitative perspectives of financial management. It is designed to benefit executives who have recently taken on, or are being groomed to take on, significant managerial responsibilities in future. The Programme would draw upon the work experience of such executives and provide additional knowledge and skills, to make them effective managers. Eligibility: Candidates with 3-year bachelor s degree certificates from Universities recognised by the Association of Indian Universities with minimum 50% marks and at least two years of work experience. Relaxation in two years of experience may please be considered for professionally qualified individuals like CA / ICWA / CS / CFA / CFP.
Admission Procedure: I. Application Form: All interested candidates should fill out the application form downloaded from our website http://www.iimidr.ac.in and send to IIM Indore directly. The completed application forms should be accompanied by a Demand Draft (DD)/Banker s Cheque (BC) drawn in favour of Indian Institute of Management Indore, payable at Indore for `2500/- (Rupees Two Thousand Five Hundred Only). The application form complete in all aspects must reach the below address on or before the last date for acceptance of applications: Virtual Learning Programme for Executives (VLPE) Office, Indian Institute of Management Indore, Prabandh Shikhar, Rau-Pithampur Road, Indore - 453556, Madhya Pradesh, India. II. Application Screening: Upon submission of the completed application form, the application will be screened based on the candidate s academic performance and relevant work experience. III. Personal Interview: Short-listed candidates will be invited for a personal interview. Not all candidates are called for personal interview. The personal interview will be conducted through video conferencing at different study centers across India. IV. Selection: The selection to the programme is based on performance in Personal Interview, the candidate s academic performance and relevant work experience.
Programme Design & Duration: This programme consists of around 200 hours of courses delivery using information technology platform. The programme is spread over a duration of twelve months. In order to supplement, the learning through the technology platform, there will also be on-campus orientation module of five days duration. Courses to be offered in this Programme are as follows: Business Communication Economics Environment for Business Finance - I Finance - II Financial Accounting Financial Markets Human Resource Management Managerial Accounting and Control Marketing of Financial Products Quantitative Techniques Spreadsheet Modeling Strategic Management Note: This is an indicative list of courses. Institute may change the curriculum from time to time. The duration of the programme will be twelve months. Programme Fee: The Programme fee is `2,90,000 (Two lakh ninety thousand only) plus applicable tax. All payments are to be made in favour of Indian Institute of Management Indore. A commitment fee of `10,000 (Ten thousand only) plus applicable tax. is to be paid at the time of acceptance of offer of admission, which will be adjusted against the fee paid at the time of registration. The commitment fee is non-refundable. Once commitment fee is paid, the balance fee has to be paid in full during registration. It can be paid by a Demand Draft.
Programme Delivery: Courses will be delivered through on-line mode using an appropriate technology platform. Lectures will be delivered through broadband based technology involving a two-way audio and video communication. Classes will be held in the evenings and weekends. Participants can attend sessions from the studio located in his / her city, or even from office / home, if the programme is offered in direct to device (D2D) mode. Participants will be provided reading materials and other resources for each course. They may also interact with the concerned faculty through emails / the chat mode.
