Instructor Perspective - Home Page The homepage provides an aggregate view of information and easy ways to create content

Instructor Perspective - Course Profile The course profile allows the user to see information specific to a course The left menu is dynamic so that students only see menu for which there is content The upcoming feed provides quick access to upcoming events and assignments

Instructor Perspective - Creating Content Instructors can easily create content via the home page, or from the course profile by using the Add Content dropdown The Topic allows you to organize any of the other elements into a cohesive unit, or lesson Import from Library allows an educator to reuse content from other courses

Instructor Perspective - Assignment Creation Assignment creation can be done quickly using simple forms More advanced functionality is present, but hidden. For instance, custom grading scales can be applied using the Grading options link Attachments can be easily added by using the File & Link/Embed links at the bottom of the form Any assignment can be copied Any assignment can be copied, upon creation, to any other course

Instructor Perspective - Assignment Profile After filling out the basic form, Schoology creates an interactive profile that allows for comments, attachments, and a dropbox for submitting and returning student work From the instructor perspective, the dropbox organizes student submitted work and indicates when actions are required (e.g. checkmark to indicate not yet graded)

Instructor Perspective - Test/Quiz Creation Creating an assessment is just as easy as creating an assignment First, the essential information is configured, such as the assignment title, total points, due date, etc. Next, the instructor is sent to a page to allow for question creation

Instructor Perspective - Test/Quiz Creation Questions are easily added in place, by clicking the Add button and choosing a question type (e.g. multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank, etc) Questions can be edited, deleted, and re-ordered at any time using a drag-and-drop interface

Instructor Perspective - Test/Quiz Question Creation Questions have intuitive, rich-text editors built in so that an instructor can format the question in any way, including images and media directly into the question Questions are flexible, for example, in the multiple-choice question shown above, the instructor is not limited to any number of choices and can have multiple correct answers

Educator Perspective - Course Analytics (User Data) An example of user-specific analytics are provided above Information allows an instructor to know when the last time a particular user logged in, p gg, and the last time that user has accessed the particular course page

Student Perspective - Homepage Th t d t h l k i il t th i t t ti ith i k The student homepage looks very similar to the instructor perspective, with quick access to relevant information and upcoming assignment/events

Student Perspective - Assignment Profile Schoology maintains a consistent look-and-feel across all aspects of the site From an assignment profile, students can Upload Files to the Dropbox if enabled. Students can also quickly view their grade, if it is recorded. Students may not delete submissions to the dropbox, however they can choose to add updated files.

Student Perspective - Test/Quiz From the student view, if students are allowed to resume unfinished tests, they will see a Resume or Start again button. Hitting Start again would begin a new submission Instructors can view all student submissions

User Perspective - Personal Document Each Schoology user has a personal document repository that allows a user to store any files, and organize them in any fashion

User Perspective - Calendar Management Each Schoology user has a personal calendar that aggregates all upcoming due-dates dates and events The user calendar can be filtered down into different categories

Social Features - Group Profile Group profiles are shared collaborative spaces, similar to courses, but without the academic features Groups can be shared across students, schools, districts, etc

Social Features - Group Creation Group creation is quick and simple The invite type allows you to make a group private Group creation is quick and simple. The invite type allows you to make a group private, allow people to join by request, or make a group open to anyone

Social Features - Network The network is organized first by a directory of users within your school/district, and then by connections that you have that may reside outside of your school/district

Social Features - User Profile The user profile allows a user to share information, updates, and blog posts

Social Features - Personal Blogs User blogs are organized and dated. They can contain rich-text, as well as embedded images and media

Social Features - Blog Creation User blogs are created using a rich-text editor, similar to that of Wordpress A user can toggle between a visual editor, as well as an HTML view for more advanced users
