Visual Learners Learn best when information is presented visually and in a written format. Benefit from teachers that use methods like ppt, overhead, white board, etc. to list essential points of a lecture, or who provide an outline. Benefit from info obtained from books or notes. Tend to like to study by yourself, quiet. You often see information in your mind s eye when you are trying to remember something.

Tactile/Kinesthetic Learners: Learn best when physically engaged in a hands on activity. Benefit from a lab setting where you can manipulate materials to learn new information. Learn best from being physically active in the learning environment. You learn from field work outside the classroom.

Auditory/ Verbal Learners Learn best when information is presented auditory in an oral language format. Benefit from listening to lecture and participating in group discussions. Audio tape. When trying to remember something, you can often hear the way someone told you the information or the way you previously repeated it out loud. Learn best when interacting with others in a listening/speaking exchange.
