The SSS TRiO Program is a federally funded grant program designed to- a) Increase the college retention and graduation rates of eligible students; b) Increase the transfer rate of eligible students from two-year to four-year institutions; c) Foster an institutional climate supportive of the success of disadvantaged students; and d) Improve the financial and economic literacy of students in various areas. 34 CFR646 Student Support Services

The TRiO Pipeline Pre-college Talent Search Identifies, prepares, & assists high school students for completion of high school. Upward Bound Prepares high school students for success in postsecondary education. Postsecondary Student Support Services (NVC SSS) Increase college retention at 2-yr institutions and graduation rate. Transition of higher education to 4-yr institution. Educational Opportunity Centers Increase enrollment and completion in postsecondary institutions. Student Support Services (SSS- 4yr) Increase college retention and graduation of Bachelors Degree. Ronald E. McNair Program Increase attainment of PH. D. degrees by students who are underrepresented.

Mission of SSS Napa Valley College prepares students for evolving roles in a diverse, dynamic, and interdependent world. The college is an accredited open-access, degree- and certificate-granting institution that is committed to student achievement through highquality programs and services that are continuously evaluated and improved. The college serves students and the community in the following areas: transfer courses, career-technical education and training, basic skills, and self-supporting contract education and community education classes At Student Support Services (SSS) TRiO we are committed to providing services in an atmosphere where each student thrives and can obtain the necessary skills to reach their personal and academic goals. College Success is created as a result of having an empowering support network, which we are committed to providing each and every student.
