Co- develop and supervise the operation of one of the first men s centers on a major college campus. The mission of the Center is to help men lead healthy lives by promoting possible masculinity. The Center s main training goal is to enhance counselor trainees and university staff s cultural competence in working with men. Conduct research on men s health issues. Co- develop the Men s Center Approach (Davies, Miller & Isacco, 2010) to addressing the health needs of college men. Co- develop the concept, possible masculinity, to encourage men reflect upon positive masculine ideals. Co- develop and implement a wide range of interventions including Men s Skills, a group designed to serve men who commit conduct violations in the university system. Provide individual, group, consultation, outreach services, and mentorship to college men. Co- develop and co- teach the following classes, Leadership in Fraternal Organizations, (currently) Men s Health Issues, and Men in Counseling (previously). Co- develop and co- present a variety of workshops and interventions to reduce sexual assault and other forms of violence, increase men s help seeking, reduce high risk behaviors, and increase men s awareness of how their concept of masculinity affects their attitudes, beliefs and behavior. Provide individual and group clinical supervision and mentorship for pre- doctoral interns and other counseling psychology doctoral students concerning working with men. Co- present on effective strategies to address the health needs of college men at local, regional, and national conferences. Co- author several articles addressing college men s issues. (The initial research upon which the Center was based received national recognition in 2001 for Outstanding Program and Outstanding Research Awards by the American College Personnel Association s Standing Committee on Men). 9/95 to 11/2012. Co- facilitate a variety of process and psychoeducational groups including men s interpersonal process groups. Provide outreach and consultation services to the campus community.
