Over 40 schools in Mississauga and Brampton 15 people on staff (does not include restaurant) Every item is made fresh as per PPM 150 2 menus: Simplified menu : All is sold separately, no on-line payment, cash & cheque only Payment is put into an envelope with order form. Teachers do not have to count orders. Due date: Lunch Moms come in to get pouch. Combo menu: On line option only and more choices/options Day of lunch Lunch Mom is in school and organizes bins for delivery. Hot lunches remain warm in storage. Food Packaged per student. Lunches are labelled for each student. For every lunch $0.25 cents are profit.. Popcorn/Kernels: 2 options: Snack Bags or Big Bags that get shared out. Teacher Report Anita Stellato, Stefanie Schillaci, Jessica Trasente C.S.C Update for the November 21 st Meeting What s happening at HOLY CROSS SCHOOL? Bullying Prevention and Awareness Week runs through Nov 20-24 at all Dufferin Peel Schools. Here are Holy Cross we have a week filled of interesting and interactive activities, (see schedule). On November 17 Teachers at Holy Cross participated in a Professional Development Day. The focus was looking at the Ontario Education Equity Act Plan that was developed in 2017. This documents helps us understand the whole learner. It eliminates discriminatory practice and allows for equality and equity practices. Knowing the Learner and considering the whole child through their culture helps teachers plan and assess through differentiated instruction. Teachers are also being in-serviced on the Zones of Regulation which Mrs Graci will be addressing this evening.
Junior volleyball has finished for the season. They have been practicing in the gym and have completed tournaments at St. Michael s and St. Raphael s Intermediate volleyball has a mini tournament on Friday at Father Clair Tipping. Our ShareLife Pancake Day on November 3 was very successful we made $470 in total. CCAT took place Oct 23-27 and we are still waiting for the results PALS training took place on October 12, PALS is in full swing and the students are having a lot of fun at recess. The Watershed presentation from Peel Region visited Holy Cross on Nov1 and 6 to Grade 6s. More to come. Picture retakes were on November 2 Progress reports were sent home on November 14 and parent teacher interviews happened on Thursday November 16 The Holy Cross 50 th Anniversary Day of celebration was on November 15 and it was a huge success. Thank you to all the parents who attended and celebrated with us. We had a great night of faith, friendship and memories. On November 10 we had a Native artist and educator, Elder Peter, present to the grade 4 students. On Friday November 24 the grade 6 students will be participating in a Lego Pilot The Grade 5 students are going to Silver Creek on Nov 22 and Dec 6. Grade 2s and 4s are going to the Science Centre on December 8. Operation Warm Coat will begin Nov 29. Thank you to FedEx for providing the coats. Knights of Columbus to provide coats as well. Holy Cross staff and students will have a liturgy at Our Lady of The Airways parish on November 30. Holy Cross will be presenting a Curly Clinic on November 27 and 28 There will be an ECO workshop for students on November 29. Grade 1,2,3s going to theatre to see The Star at Courtney Park Theatres. Peel s Water Shed on Wheels will be here on December 12. Then Rosary Apostolate will be visiting students on December 13 Rising Stars will be here for the grade 6,7 and 8 students on December 12&14. The Advent Mass is on December 20 at 9:00 am The Holy Cross Christmas concert will also take place on Dec 20 in evening for parents and during the day for all students Grades 1-4 The last day of school before the Christmas Break is Friday December 22.
