Ranger Review Dufur Elementar y and Dufur High School April 2015 12th Annual Volume 21, Issue 8 Spring has sprung and that means its time for the 12th Annual Walk-A-Thon! The Dufur Academic Enrichment and Improvement Committee will hold the Walk-A-Thon on Thursday, April 23 rd from 12:30 pm to 2:45 pm at the Dufur City Park. The first Walk-A-Thon helped raise money to purchase the much needed play structure and swings on the elementary playground. Eleven years later and this event is still a viable option for the school as it continues today to raise money to be used to enrich or improve academics in the elementary classrooms. Money raised will be used to purchase more ipads again this year. This is such a fun event for students and everyone involved and there s the extra benefit of an afternoon of exercise! Kindergarten through 8 th grade students will be asking family and friends to sponsor them with a flat donation or a per lap donation. On the day of the event they will walk as many laps as they can around the road in the park. Family members are welcome to join their children during this enjoyable event.
