Program Updates /Program Directors In House Baseball: The 2014 2015 Winter Baseball Clinic Registration Session with Eastview Athletic Association is open. This clinic is open to players who will be between the ages of 7 and 12 on April 30 2015. Traveling Baseball: Successful year. Dates for the 2015 Eastview Traveling Baseball tryouts have been set for Saturday March 28 and Sunday March 29. Specific times by age group will be determined as the dates get closer. The 2015 tryouts will take place at the Tostrud Center on the campus of St. Olaf College in Northfield. Eastview has held tryouts here several times and we are very fortunate to have access to this excellent facility. In House Basketball: Registration opened for the 2014 2015 season on June 1, 2014 Registration closed for Travel on August 31, 2014 in order to prepare for try outs in September. Registration closes for In house & Skills Training October 10, 2014. All scholarship information can be found when you register via NGIN. Traveling Basketball: The EVAA Traveling Basketball Program is open to boys and girls, grades 4 8, who reside in the Eastview High School attendance area and for residents of the city of Apple Valley. The season runs from October through Mid March and teams will participate in an average of 8 13 weekend tournaments during the season. Cross Country: Season in full swing. EVAA Cross Country is expanding to include 7th and 8th graders! We realize that cross country is offered through the local middle schools and we highly encourage kids to join those teams. However, we also realize that some kids may enjoy the flexiblity of the EVAA program. We only meet twice per week (instead of 5 days a week, like the middle schools), which allows kids to continue to participate in other sports. Also new for 2014, we're happy to announce that the Eagan and Rosemount Athletic Associations are also adding Cross Country programs. Of course, we want kids to sign up for EVAA, but if one of these other programs fits into your schedule better, please consider supporting them instead. With these 2 new programs, along with EVAA and VAA, we look forward to having the best youth cross country "conference" in the Twin Cities. Nordic Skiing: The program is open to ages 4 15 and is designed for skill levels ranging from beginner to experienced. The organization is a volunteer led organization, with parents and guardians encouraged to participate and learn with the children (No registration is necessary for parents/guardians, and equipment for parents/guardians can be rented at Lebanon Hills each week) For the younger children, parents are required to be on the snow with their children (although not necessarily on skis). Our group will meet for eight Sunday afternoons in January and February at Lebanon Hills ski trails in Eagan from 12:45 2:00, with parents and guardians encouraged to participate either with or without skis. Although skiers will build their skills and learn to enjoy skiing the most by participating each week, there is no problem if scheduling conflicts arise and a skier is unable to attend. The first session is scheduled for January 4th.

Football: Season in full swing. Great turn out for Steak Fry Traveling Football: Both teams are doing well and are in the running for league leads. Lacrosse: EVAA will hold "Learn to play Lacrosse" clinics in January and February. Dates and locations are being worked out. Details will be posted here once available. 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders can play on EVAA's Dakota Lacrosse teams. Games/Practices are indoors on turf at Eagan Arena and Hayes Arena. Season starts mid March. Registration will open in December 2014. In House Soccer: Great turnout. Over 800 participants. EVAA In House Soccer is for youth currently in Pre school through 8th grade. The program fee pays for uniforms (jerseys, socks, and shorts), participation medals, trophies (where applicable), referees (for grades 3 8), fields, equipment, EVAA administration costs, and clinics. Financial Aid is available for qualifying families in the on line registration process. Late registration fees also apply to costs of additional expenses related to adding players to teams, uniform express ordering, etc. Dakota REV: No report from Dakota Rev In House/Traveling Softball: Very successful tournament. Over 100 teams in attendance. The 2014 EVAA In house Softball Season ran from the beginning of May to the end of June. All four of the EVAA Traveling Fastpitch Softball Fall teams had a great season ending with success in the State Tournaments, and three brought home trophies and medals. Tennis: Tennis had a very successful season with 3 solid coaches and a great experience for all athletes involved. Solid program growth this year. In House tennis offers the opportunity to learn and play in a setting that emphasizes Fun, Fitness, and Friends. The programs follow the format of the USTA Junior Team Tennis programs and are organized to match players of similar age and ability. Drills and competition are kept in perspective with each player's abilities and interest. Track & Field: Planning sessions will be scheduled soon. EVAA Track and Field is open for Pre K to 6 th graders. Our main goal is to promote physical fitness, fun and team spirit with hopes of providing instructional guidance in the fundamentals of track and field. Volleyball: In House Fall program in full swing. Our program is open to 3rd through 5th graders in the Eastview/Apple Valley area. Our teams will be a combination of all of these age groups as we do not have enough players in each age group to form separate divisions. We offer two In House seasons; one in the Fall from September to October and one in the spring from early April to mid May. Eastview Fall Traveling Volleyball provides an opportunity for girls in 4th through 8th grades to

move into more competitive volleyball and get ready for the winter JO season. This program will expand the players experience while accelerating her learning of the game. Experienced, paid coaches provide quality instruction and share their excitement for volleyball. Teams will play two matches at the Midwest Volleyball Warehouse on the following six dates: 9/13, 9/20 or 9/21, 9/27, 10/4, 10/11, and 10/25 all Saturdays except for the weekend of 9/20 9/21 where some teams will play on Sunday. Wrestling: The preseason free clinic and showcase is a 3 day low intensity taste of wrestling. It focuses on basic to intermediate wrestling and general athletic skills applicable to any child in K 5th grade who is interested in trying wrestling. It is also great for kids who want to get a jump on their EVAA Wrestling season. Due to support from the Eastview Wrestling Program, it is free to all kids. The first two dates will vary based on elementary school location. The 3rd date is the Wrestling Showcase Event at Eastview High School on October 28th, 2014. Pat is working on gyn allocation for the upcoming winter sports. Please remember to work through him to secure space at local facilities. Admin Report/Kristin Dannecker Various updates to website and Friday folder were discussed. New Business The Alan Anderson Foundation would like to donate $4000 to the In house Basketball Program. IH Basketball is planning to use the money to provide upgraded jerseys for this season's program. In recognition of the donation there is a small Foundation logo that Derek would like to put on the breast of the jersey. On the table is a donation offer of $5000 from Alan's Foundation to Eastview Athletic Association with the request it be given to the In House Basketball program. Derek would love to upgrade the jerseys this season with the money. Because Alan has a contract with Nike, the uniforms purchased would be Nike. Adjourn George Singer motioned to adjourn; seconded by Greg Levon meeting ended at 9:35 pm
