Write and search for keywords that will help students decide when to use either form.(2 days) Lesson3- Imperfect and Preterit- with mental process words such as creer, pensar, querer, etc. guided practice, independent practice, and oral practice with a partner. Lesson4- Preterit and imperfect in writing. The narrative versus forward action. Picture writing using both the preterit and imperfect.. Lesson5- Research in library/computer lab for project on Spanish speaking countries. Also field trip to UT Tyler Library to continue and expand research over. Lesson1- Vocabulary- Write/List vocabulary words and definitions, Make vocabulary flash cards, listen to and repeat vocabulary words, practice using vocabulary with in context of sentences. Lesson2- Future Tense- Two forms of conjugations- Regular and Irregular Verbs (2 days) Lesson3- Carta a Dios - Day 1- Individual reading of story while highlighting of preterit in green, imperfect in red, future in orange, vocabulary in blue, unknown words in yellow(in order to look them up). Break into groups and divide up story among the groups. Each group will try to translate their section of the story. Day 2- Whole class will read story together out loud and the groups will explain their section of the story as we come to it. Lesson4-Comparativo/Superlativo- Class discussion, Guided Practice, Individual practice Lesson5- Group work on project over Spanish speaking countries. Evaluation-Test over review and chapter 3+4 information (future tense/vocabulary).
