Climate-KIC Educatin prvides a generatin f climate change entrepreneurs and innvatrs with the multidisciplinary skills t develp ecnmically, envirnmentally and scially sustainable appraches t mitigate glbal warming and adapt t its effects. The Jurney is a 3 r 5-week full-time residential summer schl n climate innvatin and entrepreneurship, running thrugh varius lcatins acrss Eurpe in July and August. Participants are a mixture f Masters and PhD students as well as yung prfessinals, frm a range f disciplines and backgrunds. Fr mre details, please see website: http://jurney.climate-kic.rg/ Each Jurney grup is accmpanied by 2 caches. In 2018 Climate-KIC will be running 11 Jurneys acrss Eurpe. We seek 22 caches (2 per Jurney) t facilitate the learning f sustainable business skills by supprting a culturally diverse grup f participants in translating climate and entrepreneurial knwledge int actin, and caching them t create climate friendly business plans f their wn. This rle requires candidates t wrk and travel with the participants and c-cach fr 3 r 5 weeks. Candidates may be assigned t Jurneys which have a stay in their hme city (up t tw weeks) hwever candidates shuld be prepared t spend up t five weeks abrad. Caches are expected t attend the full prgramme (incl. all lectures, site visits and evening events) tgether with the students, and facilitate and lead all cached learning activities, tgether with a c-cach. Candidates must be experienced caches, mtivated, energetic, available fr the time perids specified as well as preparatry sessins in advance, and interested in the EU cntext f climate change, business and innvatin.

In 2018 we will hst ne specific Jurney in cllabratin with EUs Cpernicus prgramme; the InnSpace Jurney. The aim is t ensure uptake and explitatin f Cpernicus data, t address the challenges f climate change, as well as create awareness f bth the availability and the ptential applicatins f pen Earth Observatin (EO) data. The InnSpace Jurney will aim at fstering entrepreneurial thinking amng students and future entrepreneurs deplying a learn-by-ding apprach by (i) increasing awareness f dwnstream EO and Gegraphic Infrmatin Science (GIS) innvatin pprtunities (ii) prviding the skills and tls t translate ideas int end-user applicatins and (iii) prviding a prtected testing-grund fr entrepreneurial develpment in the field f climate change. By the end f the InnSpace Jurney participants have gained the ability t cmbine scientific insights and climate change knwledge with new entrepreneurial and innvatin skills t deliver a business plan fr a sustainable end user applicatin. We need tw caches t g n the InnSpace Jurney. Candidates will be expected t supprt participants in designing, refining & pitching a sustainable business mdel. Experience in the field f climate change and clean-tech Althugh specific input is prvided n climate science, clean tech and climate impact measurement, participants will expect caches t shw understanding and interest in this field. Candidates shuld have a gd understanding f climate change, respective causes, slutins and cntrversies.
