Montgomery County Community College is not affiliated with the event and the College should not be contacted regarding the test. This application can be used to apply to any of the departments you are eligible for. Unified Applications must be completed on-line at www.montcopolicetest.com. You will not be permitted to take the exam until you complete the application on line and pay the $30 fee by using the Pay Pal account linked to the application. NO paper applications will be accepted. NO checks or money orders will be accepted. PHYSICAL ASSESSMENT TEST: There will be a physical assessment test held on Saturday June 2, 2018, at 8:00 am, at the Upper Moreland High School. You will be notified in writing if you are invited to attend the assessment test. The standards for successfully completing the assessment test are listed at www.mpoetc.state.pa.us using the thirtieth percentile. Please review each department s requirements carefully prior to completing the application. It is your responsibility to ensure that you meet the minimum requirements of each department before submitting your application. UPPER MORELAND cont. UPPER POTTSGROVE Meet one of the following additional qualifications: (1)Have earned at least 60 credits from an accredited college or university; or (2) have served at least three (3) continuous years as a full time police with a state, federal or municipal law enforcement agency or served at least three (3) years active duty in the United States; Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard. Have successfully completed Act 120, as amended, (MPOETC) certification training within the thirty-six (36) months immediately prior to the deadline for filing the application for patrol or presently be enrolled in a course of study at a police academy certified by MPOETC and, within two hundred ten (210) days after the application deadline for patrol with the Township, successfully complete said training or as required by Act 120 Be at least 21 years of age by the deadline for submitting applications Be a resident of Pennsylvania at the time of appointment Possess a high school diploma or GED Have 60 or more credits from an accredited college or have 3 or more year s full time experience as a police or have served in police capacity in military for a minimum of two years within a four year enlistment Possess a valid Pennsylvania driver s license by the time of appointment Be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of a police Pass a written exam, oral exam, physical exam, polygraph test, psychological test, and a background check Have completed a course of study at a police academy certified by the PA Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Commission (MPOETC) and be able to meet the certification standards of the MPOETC as required by PA Act 120 WARMINSTER Be at least 21 years of age by the deadline for submitting applications Be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of a police Possess a valid driver s license prior (PA license at time of appointment) Have a minimum of 60 college credits from an accredited college or university, or 3 years full time law enforcement experience with a federal, state, county, or municipal police department, or 4 years full time military experience Have completed a course of study at a police academy certified by the PA Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Commission (MPOETC) and be able to meet the certification standards of the MPOETC as required by PA Act 120

WHITPAIN Be at least 21 years of age by the deadline for submitting applications Be a resident of Pennsylvania at the time of appointment Possess a high school diploma or GED Have 60 or more credits from an accredited college or have 3 or more years full time experience as a police, or served at least 3 years active duty in the United States; Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard. Successfully complete written, oral, medical, psychological, physical agility, and polygraph exams and thorough background investigation All applicants must either have successfully completed the training and education prescribed by the Municipal Police Education and Training Act ( Act 120 ), 53 Pa.C.S.A. 2161 et seq., or be eligible for Act 120 Certification NOTICE Clarification of Written Scores: The following have been established as passing scores for the police departments participating in the written police entrance examination. In order to have passed the written test for: DEPARTMENT CHELTENHAM COLLEGEVILLE HATBORO LIMERICK LOWER MORELAND WHO MOVES FORWARD IN THE PROCESS Applicants must score a minimum of 70% on the written examination. The top 50 scores after the written exam and agility test will move forward in the hiring process. Applicants must score a minimum of 75% on the written examination. An oral examination will be offered to a maximum of the top twenty (20) candidates. The minimum passing score on the written examination is 70%. Only those receiving one of the top 30 highest scores, including ties, will be eligible to continue to the oral examination phase. Applicants must score a minimum of 70% on the written examination. The Township may limit the number of applicants notified to appear for an oral examination to the top 20 of those taking the test for Limerick, with all ties of the cut-off score being included.. Interviews will be conducted when an open position occurs or is expected otherwise a list of qualified candidates will be maintained You must score a minimum of 70% on the written examination. You must have one of the top 60 scores of those taking the test for Lower Moreland.

LOWER POTTSGROVE LOWER PROVIDENCE NORRISTOWN NORTH WALES SPRINGFIELD TOWAMENCIN UPPER DUBLIN UPPER MORELAND UPPER POTTSGROVE WARMINSTER WHITPAIN You must score a minimum of 70% on the written examination on each portion. You must have one of the top thirty (30) scores of those taking the test for Lower Pottsgrove. You must score a minimum of 70% on each portion of the written examination. An oral examination will be offered to a minimum of the top ten (10) candidates, to include all candidates tied for the tenth position. The exact number to be offered the oral examination will be determined by the Chief of Police with consideration given to the number of potential positions to be filled. Interviews will be conducted when an open position occurs or is expected otherwise a list of qualified candidates will be maintained. You must score 70% or higher and obtain one of the fifty (50) highest scores in order to continue in the application process. Applicants scoring less than 70% or not obtaining one of the fifty (50) highest scores shall be rejected. All applicants attaining 70% and tying at the fiftieth (50th) highest score will be considered as passing and eligible to continue in the application process. The minimum passing grade is 70% for the written examination. You must have one of the top 20 highest scores, including ties, of those taking the test for North Wales. You must score a minimum of 70% on the written examination. The number of candidates proceeding on to the oral examination may be limited to those applicants scoring in the top percentile. These applicants shall number no less than five (5) if there is one opening, and no less than ten (10) if there is more than one opening. You must score a minimum of 70% on the written examination. An oral examination will be offered to a minimum of the top ten (10) candidates, to include all candidates tied for the tenth position. The exact number to be offered the oral examination will be determined by the Chief of Police with consideration given to the number of potential positions to be filled. You must score a minimum of 70% on the written examination. You must have one of the top 30 scores, including ties, of those taking the test for Upper Dublin. You must score a minimum of 70% on the written examination. You must be in the top 20% or 60 candidates, whichever is greater, including ties, of those taking the test for Upper Moreland. You must score a minimum of 80% or higher in each element of the written exam. You must receive one of the top-ranked 20 passing grades of those taking the test for Upper Pottsgrove. All candidates scoring 80% or better will move forward to the physical agility test. You must score a minimum of 70% on the written examination. An oral examination will be offered to a minimum of the top ten (10) candidates, to include all candidates tied for the tenth position. The exact number to be offered the oral examination will be determined by the Chief of Police with consideration given to the number of potential positions to be filled.
