Recommendations Teacher recommendations may or may not be made in the following disciplines: FINE ARTS TECHNOLOGY PE Art Foundations of Technology All 9 th graders who take PE must enroll in Lifetime Sports 1 st semester Music Theater Intro. To Engineering and Design: Engineering Prereq. of Algebra 1 with a C or higher First course in Project Lead The Way sequence Foundations of Computer Science: Computer Programing Prereq. of Algebra 1 with a C or higher 2 nd semester choice may be Lifetime Sports or a Specialty PE: Basketball Soccer Fitness/Dance Yoga Soccer Team Sports Weight Training 7
Recommendations If you would like to be placed in a different level than what was recommended for you, you and your parents/guardian should: 1. Speak with your current teacher about appropriate placement. 2. If you still request change of level, attach a letter of appeal from your parent/guardian to your registration form. 8

Registration Directions Make sure you select courses for both semesters! You need 7 credits/ 14 total classes, plus the back-up electives. EXAMPLE Two of the electives will be requested for the schedule, leaving the 3 rd and 4 th choices as back-up choices. 11

STEP 2 Click on the pencil icon next to each subject to make your course selection. 13
STEP 3 For each subject select the courses that your teachers have recommended for you. Refer to the course selection sheet for this information as well. Click on Alerts and your recommendations will appear at the top of the page. 14

STEP 5 Once you have 7 credits selected, AND you have reviewed your courses, click submit. 17
Middle School Credit The credits that will transfer from middle school are: Math (Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2) World Languages (Spanish, French) You must receive a passing grade for both semesters of the class. 18

Plan for Success Consider post-high school plans and what is needed to fulfill these plans. Enroll in challenging courses. Get help when needed. Develop good study habits. Take advantage of school resources, such as tutoring with teachers and qualified students.
Extracurricular Activities To be eligible you must have an unweighted GPA of 2.0 and no more than one E on your report card! Get Involved! QO has many options so you can definitely find something that suits your interests! You must have a completed physical from your doctor to try out for any sports team If you don t like sports, we have lots of other activities, such as music, theater, SGA, and Best Buddies!
