Our convention started two years ago with booths from Distributed Learning Schools, and used book tables for parents. In response to the positive feedback the past two years we have decided to proceed with another one this year. Please read through this guide first before applying. Your space is not guaranteed until we have received full payment. Additional Information Form. Convention Terms and Waiver of Liability (sign, scan and email it or mail along with your payment).

Trade Show Exhibit Spaces: Booth space is approximately 10 wide by 6 deep and includes one table & one chair Other tables and racks may be utilized within your designated space as long as they do not interfere with the visibility or operation of adjacent exhibitors. Displays may not extend beyond the confines of the exhibit space. Wireless internet will not be provided on site for this year. Tablecloths are not provided on sit for this year. Space Selection: Priority is based on the date of full paid application. Early applicants will receive requested space whenever possible, but it is not guaranteed. There is only one large hall being used. Everyone will be in the same space. The final booth placement will be decided by the RMHL committee based on the best interest of the convention and availability. Trade Show Set-up Participation is required for the entire convention. The trade show schedule is as follows: Set Up Monday June 12 2:00 pm 3:00 pm Hall hours Monday June 12 3:00 pm 9:00 pm Take Down Monday June 12 9:00 pm 10:00 pm Exhibitor Check-in: You will receive an e-mail confirmation with details regarding the convention about one month before the convention. When you arrive, proceed to your booth or come to the main Registration desk for directions. Exhibitor Take-Down: Displays must not be taken down before 9:00 pm Monday June 12 th. NO TAKE DOWN WILL BE PERMITTED DURING CONVENTION HOURS. Please remove all garbage and recycling. We will not have access to recycling or garbage bins. Meals:

There will be no food available on site. A number of fast food outlets are located across the street at the Westgate Shopping mall, or nearby in the local neighbourhood. Free Coffee will be available at the event. Children: Any children that accompany you must be in your booth area or with an adult at all times. Please be considerate of other exhibitors and provide proper supervision. There is no children s program at the convention. Display Guidelines: Displays will be permitted only by official exhibitors. No space may be sublet to another company or individual without prior approval. Distribution of advertising matter by representatives of firms that are not official exhibitors is strictly forbidden. The materials and/or services being exhibited must be curriculum or of an educational nature. Audio/Video Players: Courtesy is expected of all exhibitors. Audiotapes and video monitors are permitted; however, such equipment must be kept at a reasonably low volume. Please let us know if you will be requiring power, as there are numerous power outlets along the wall; however, we do not have access to many extended power cords. Bring your own if you are concerned about this. Material Guidelines: Ridge Meadows Home Learners reserves the right to request the removal of specific items or entire displays that, in its opinion, would be inappropriate for display. Please review your material prior to the convention for any items that would be offensive to our primarily home learner attendees. Cancellation Policy: All deposits and final payments are non-refundable, except in the case of decisions made by the convention committee to downgrade exhibitor space. Liability: RMHL shall not be held responsible for any loss, damage, injury, or theft that may occur during the event. Any damage to the building due to carelessness or misconduct of an exhibitor will be paid for by the same.

Your URL may be listed on our main website for several months prior to and following the convention. Please provide any special information to include on our site (i.e. sales, ability to process PO # s, new products). Must be easy to add to the site and require no editing on our part. Additional Information The following information will assist our team in giving you the best service possible. Each exhibitor will receive free passes to the Trade Show for those working at the booth (maximum 6). Please list names of those attending so we can have the name tags prepared. Door Prize Donation: You will be contacted one month before the convention to confirm your door prize item.

Agreement to Terms and Waiver of Liability Below are terms and conditions that we require exhibitors to agree to in order to have the convention run smoothly: All booths must be set up and ready by 3:00 pm on Monday, June 12 th, 2017, and must remain in full operation until official tear down at 9:00 pm on Monday, June 12 th, 2017. All deposits and final payments are non-refundable, except in the case of decisions made by the convention committee to downgrade exhibitor space. Please leave your booth area in the same condition you found it. Remove all boxes and cardboard from the property. Display materials must fit into your booth area. Audio equipment must be kept at a low volume so as not to disturb or distract other exhibitors. We reserve the right to refuse an application, in which event, all fees would be refunded. Ridge Meadows Home Learners, New Life Homeschool Association and Maple Ridge Alliance Church shall not be held responsible for any loss, damage, injury, or theft that may occur during the event. Any damage to the building due to carelessness or misconduct of an exhibitor will be paid for by the same. Between Ridge Meadows Home Learners and New Life Homeschool Association and Exhibitors attending the Connections Convention, Monday, June 12th, 2017, held at Maple Ridge Alliance Church, Maple Ridge, British Columbia. Ridge Meadows Home Learners and New Life Homeschool Association, directors, members, and convention volunteers are hereby released from any liability for damages caused by Acts of God, electrical disruption or any other unforeseen situations that may arise from circumstances not directly or indirectly under their control. Further, it is understood that insurance for fire, theft or other liability is the responsibility of the vendor. I agree to be responsible for property damages to items such as floor coverings and draping materials caused by negligence or breach of contract.
