To celebrate all our residents birthdays this month, we will be holding our monthly birthday celebration on Thursday, January 25th at 2:30 PM. We are so thankful to have you in our lives. We made it through our busy month of December! We hope that both the residents and families enjoyed all of the fun and festive holiday activities that we planned. We certainly did! We had a great turnout for our annual Christmas program. A special thank you to ALL of the residents and staff members who helped make the event such a success! We will stay warm and busy in January with all of our indoor activities that we have planned. Some of our special activities this month include: Noodle Ball, Bullseye, Pin the Nose on the Snowman, Make your own Pizza, Rhythm Band, Price is Right, and Bubble Wrap Fun. For your weekend entertainment make sure you get out to the atrium each Saturday and enjoy the special music at 1:15 PM. Check out the rest of our activities on our January calendar. We welcome Dixie to the Activity Department! Dixie may look familiar as she also works in the Nutrition Services Department at GRHS. Dixie and her husband Danny have two children, Angie and Justin and a grandson Carter. Dixie enjoys shopping, decorating, camping, and going to Branson, Missouri. Our Christmas program this year was titled Santa at the Manger. The Bell Choir performed several selections including Oh Little Town of Bethlehem, We Three Kings, and Oh Holy Night. Shannon Alsleben, physical therapist from Rehab Care, wowed us with her beautiful voice as she sang Oh Holy Night and A Hallelujah Christmas. Thank you to everyone who helped make this special holiday event a memorable one!
