National University of Educational Planning and Administration 17-B, Sri Aurobindo Marg, New Delhi-110016 FACULTY RECRUITMENT ON CONTRACT/DEPUTATION (Online applications) The National University of Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA), established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, is a premier organization dealing with research and capacity building in planning and administration of education, not only in India but also in South Asia. In recognition of the pioneering work done by the organization in the field of educational planning and administration, the Government of India has upgraded it to the status of a National University. Like any Central University, NUEPA is fully maintained by the Government of India. NUEPA being an academic institution, is actively engaged in research, training, consultancy and extension in educational planning and administration at all levels of education. Besides, it also acts as a clearing house for dissemination of knowledge through seminars, workshops, conferences, publications, etc. The University has openings for various faculty positions in its centres, Centre for Policy Research in Higher Education, National Centre for School Leadership, Department of Educational Management Information System and newly established School Standards and Evaluation Unit for a period of 3 years (12 th Five Year Plan period) at the level of Professor (37,400-67000 + AGP 10,000), Associate Professor (37,400-67000 + AGP 9,000) and Assistant Professor (15600-39100 + AGP 6000). Incumbents are required to undertake both teaching and supervision at M Phil. and Ph. D. levels. Besides, they are also required to undertake intensive research and training at school and higher education levels. Centre for Policy Research in Higher Education The Centre for Policy Research in Higher Education (CPRHE) is established as a specialized centre to promote policy research and support policy and planning in higher education in India. The Centre analyzes trends in higher education development; promote research to generate reliable information base for policy; help develop long-term perspective plans at the Centre and state levels; and encourage policy dialogues involving national and state-level education policy makers. 1. D. qualification(s) in concerned/allied/relevant discipline and published work of quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research/policy papers. (iii) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology mediated teaching learning process. Associate Professor in Centre for Policy Research in Higher Education (Contractual) Post Code: CPRHE-02- Jan. 15 No. of Post: 2 (i) Good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines. (ii) A Master s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed). (iii) A minimum of 8 years of experience or teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry excluding the period of Ph.D. research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books and/or research/policy papers. (iv) Contribution to educational innovations, design of new curricula and courses, and technology mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students. National Centre for School Leadership The National Centre for School Leadership (NCSL) set up at NUEPA is committed to improving quality of schools in India. The prime mission of the Centre is to build leadership capacities through a variety of professional programmes on School Leadership Development supported by curriculum Framework on School Leadership, materials generated by the NCSL supported by research and development.

Assistant Professor in National Centre for School Leadership (Contractual) Post Code: NCSL-03- Jan. 15 No. of Posts: 03 Age: Preferably below 35 years (i) Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. (ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. (iii) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) above, candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions. School Standards and Evaluation Unit The School Standards and Evaluation Unit (SSEU) has been established by the NUEPA to conduct the National Programme on School Standards (NPSSE). The NPSSE is an initiative taken up by Government of India to institutionalize school evaluation for improving the quality of school education both at the elementary and secondary levels. It is an endeavor to support the school s continuing development and improvement. 6. D. qualification(s) in Education/Social Sciences and published work of quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research/policy papers. (ii) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level. (iii) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology mediated teaching learning process. (ii) A Master s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed). (iii) A minimum of 8 years of experience or teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry excluding the period of Ph.D. research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books and/or research/policy papers. (iv) Contribution to educational innovations, design of new curricula and courses, and technology mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students. (ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. I Desirable Qualification: (i) Experience in School teaching and educational research. Department of Educational Management Information System The Department of Educational Management Information System (EMIS) is responsible for managing data base on school education under U-DISE. The Department aims at undertaking research, capacity building activities and to provide technical advice to strengthen the database and Management Information Systems on education in India. The Department bring out several annual and occasional publications based on data collated under U-DISE. 9. Associate Professor in Department of Educational Management Information System (Contractual) Post Code: EMIS-02- Jan. 15 No. of Post: 01 (i) Doctoral degree in Statistics/Mathematics/Education/Operations Research/Demography/ Social Science (with specialization in Quantitative Techniques) with proven record of publication in the area. Should have sound knowledge of development indicators with a focus on education; should have experience in conducting capacity building programmes in the field of social statistics/education; should be excellent in data analysis software like SAS, STATA, SPSS, GIS etc. (ii) A Master s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).

(iii) At least 8 years of experience with a focus on education and data analysis in social sectors equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry excluding the period of Ph.D. research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books and/or research/policy papers. (iv) Contribution to educational innovations, design of new curricula and courses, and technology mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students. (v) A minimum score stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in Appendix III of UGC Regulations 2010. Assistant Professor in Department of Educational Management Information System (Contractual) Post Code: EMIS-03-Jan. 15 No. of Post: 01 Age: Preferably below 35 years (i) Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master s Degree level in Statistics/Mathematics/Education/Operations Research/Demography/Social Science (with specialization in Quantitative Techniques) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
