We believe the uniform encourages students to take pride in their appearance, eliminates competition in what students wear, and that it is the most economical way to outfit students for their life at the College.

MIDDLE SCHOOL FORMAL & SPORTS YEAR 7 Uniform Items Uniform items are available from The Uniform Shop The Homemaker Centre 6 Dutton Road, Mount Barker Phone: 8398 3983 Good quality second hand items are available from the PT&F Second Hand Uniform Shop located on the College campus next to EFM. Opening Hours: Monday to Friday 9.00am - 4.30pm (during term times) Saturday 9.30am - 11.30am (the first Saturday and the last Saturday of holiday breaks) Summer and Winter Uniform (Years 8-12) Summer formal may be worn; during Term 1 and Term 4 and during the first two weeks of Term 2 and the last two weeks of Term 3, if the forcast is 25 C or above for Mt Barker on the previous night s 6.00pm news. Winter formal can be worn at any time during the year, however, the winter uniform is compulsory for all of Term 2 and Term 3. Excursions and Formal Occasions Formal uniform is to be worn for all formal College occasions and excursions, including College jacket for Middle School students and College blazer for Senior School students. Non-Uniform Days Students are required to dress in a manner comparable to the College uniform and not such that it draws particular attention to the student. Thongs, ugg boots, singlets and items which are determined to be too revealing or deemed as inappropriate for our community by the Pastoral Care team are unacceptable. Regardless of the clothing worn, all students must adhere to the full expectations including those for hair, make up and jewellery. Students with PE on a non-uniform day must be fully equipped with their College sports uniform. College Bag Chiropak II or Trolley Bag II. Sport Duffle Bag (optional) All bags are available from Fairley s Shoex, Mount Barker and Stirling. Make-Up It is preferred that students do not wear makeup at the College. Students who choose to wear makeup may only wear light, natural coloured foundation and minimal mascara. Eyeliner, nail polish and coloured lip cosmetics, for example, are not to be worn. Jewellery Students may wear: a watch of reasonable size and appearance a plain light chain or a light chain with a small cross, around their neck a maximum of one earring, in the lower lobe of each ear; plain silver or gold stud (max. 6mm diameter) plain silver or gold sleeper (max. 12mm diameter) clear diamante (max. 6mm diameter) white pearl (max. 6mm diameter). It is our preference that students do not wear facial piercings at the College. Students with a nose or ear cartilage piercing, may wear a clear insert until healed and the insert can be removed. Chains with any emblems or items other than a cross are not permitted, nor are any rings, bangles or bracelets or adornments of different material. Hairstyles Hair should be neat and able to be combed Hair should not be extreme in style or colour so as to draw attention to the student Hair should be off the face at all times Hair shoulder length or longer is to be completely tied back with a navy band or ribbon If using clips they must be hair coloured or navy. Students are to be clean-shaven. House Polo Shirt (Years 7-12) Compulsory for House competition days. May be worn for PE lessons when the College polo shirt is being laundered. Year 7 students wear their College sports uniform all year. College polo shirt. College rugby top. College in Term 2 and Term 3, excursions and College sports shorts or College trackpants. White crew or mid-calf College (sports) socks. Sports shoes, securly laced and supportive. The College jacket is compulsory to and from the College in Term 2 and Term 3 and for excursions and Year 10-12 are expected to change into and out of their sports uniform for their PE lessons.
