RE-ENROLLMENT SEASON ENDS IN 2 WEEKS! It is our sincere hope and desire that you and your family will Re-enroll for the upcoming 2018-19 school year. Please remember that Re-Enrollment Season ends on Thursday, March 22nd. If you haven t submitted your Re-Enrollment application and registration fee yet, we hope that you will do so, as soon as possible, in order to secure a spot for your child for the 2018-19 school year, AND take advantage of lower tuition rates. Please keep in mind that applications received after the deadline will not qualify for the lower tuition rates. GCS Parents Can Earn Up to $500 Towards Next Year s Tuition! Bring in a new family for an initial interview, and you will receive a $100 credit to your 2018-19 tuition account. ALSO, if that family enrolls, then both YOU and the NEW FAMILY will receive a $400 credit towards tuition for the month of January, 2019, for one student! The following rules and restrictions apply: Each interviewing family MUST designate one existing GCS family on the coupon to receive the credit at the initial interview. Credit will not be given at a later date. Credits are limited to only one credit per interviewing family. The $400 tuition credit will be applied in January, 2019, to the designated family account. Offer good only for interviews beginning Mar 1-Aug 1, 2018. COUPONS ARE AVAILABLE ACROSS FROM THE SCHOOL OFFICE Middle School Grandparents Day Our Middle School students (6th-8th grade) will be welcoming their grandparents to our annual Middle School Grandparents Day, TOMORROW, from 8:30-11am. Our students will be performing selections chosen from this year s Fine Arts competition. Please help us by inviting these grandparents to join us on this special day! Registration begins at 8:30am, and the program begins at 9am. We will be serving light food and refreshments. Dress for girls is black skirts, white tops with a colored scarf, dress shoes, and for boys black pants, white shirts, nice tie and dress shoes. (This will be the dress code for the remaining performances of the year.) Following the program, students may leave for the day with their grandparents. Buddy Basketball This year s teams and schedule for Buddy Basketball can be found on pages 5 and 6 of this week s Update. This information will also be sent home in Friday folders, posted in the halls, and available on gracesoldiers.net!

ACHIEVEMENT TESTING Secondary students, 6th-12th grade, will take part in Achievement testing the week following Spring Break. HOW- EVER, our elementary students will now be tested April 9-13. RADA Shop Rada for all your cutlery needs, while helping raise funds for Grace Christian School!
SCRIP FUNDS AVAILABLE FOR RE-ENROLLMENT FEES Don t forget that as a member of the GCS SMART SCRIP program and/or the Kroger Cares Program, you have the option of using these proceeds toward the payment of your 2018-19 re-enrollment registration fees. You can also let this amount continue to build and use it toward your tuition for the 2018-19 school year. For more information about this program, or your SCRIP account, you may contact the school office. SERVE-A-THON 2018 Serve-A-Thon 2018 is scheduled for Friday, April 6th. Last week, an email was sent out to elementary and secondary families, explaining this event. This week, this information will be sent home in Friday folders for elementary students and extras will be available across from the school office. Our deadline to turn in the following items is Friday, March 23rd (the Friday before Spring Break). Ten-Name Sponsor List or $150 per family (plus $10/child for families with more than one child) Permission Form $3 for lunch T-shirt Order Form EACH STUDENT who returns his/her sponsor list (with complete addresses), or $150 (plus $10/child for families with more than one child), by the deadline of Friday, March 23rd, will receive a FREE Serve-A-Thon t-shirt. Partnering together, we can make this the best year yet! SENIOR HIGH FINE ARTS COMPETITION Our 9th-12th grade students will be participating in the WV Fine Arts Competition at Appalachian Bible College on Thursday and Friday, March 15th and 16th. Our students will be participating in a variety of categories, including speech, academics, art, and music! Information regarding schedule times and transportation will be emailed to parents. DARE TO DREAM This competition is an entrepreneurial team consisting of three to five high school students who take the stage and pitch a business idea to a panel of business experts. GCS had two teams of three students each compete last week at Shawnee State. Out of eleven teams, six were chose to advance and both teams from Grace are moving on! They will present again at the finals on March 20th! We are so proud of them!
