We are proud and excited to announce that Pacifica High School was awarded a Silver Medal in the US News and World Report High School Rankings! We are one of four high schools in our district to receive this award. The goal is to provide a clear, unbiased picture of how well public schools serve all of their students from the highest to lowest achieving in preparing them to demonstrate proficiency in basic skills as well as readiness for college-level work. The first list of the U.S. News Best High Schools was posted online on Nov. 30, 2007. Subsequent editions were posted online on Dec. 5, 2008; Dec. 10, 2009; May 8, 2012; April 23, 2013; April 22, 2014; May 12, 2015; and April 19, 2016. The current 2017 Best High Schools rankings were published online on April 25, 2017. Since U.S. News & World Report's editors believe high schools are among America's most important institutions, adding the Best High Schools to the U.S. News rankings was a natural progression. Education drives the country's future. Recognizing schools that are performing well and providing them as models to other schools will inspire educators and communities to do better. Baseball Our varsity baseball team lot to Cypress 6-0 on May 3rd. They lost to Cypress 13-0 on May 5th. Varsity's overall record is 12-15 and they are 4-4 in the Empire league. Our JV team lost to Cypress 6-5 on May 3rd. They lost to Cypress 6-0 on May 5th. They lost to Glendora 5-4 on May 6th. JV's overall record is 12-10-1 and they are 5-3 in the Empire league. Our Frosh team lost to Cypress 4-0 on May 3rd. They lost to Tustin 2-1 on May 5th. Frosh's overall record is 14-7 and they are 4-2 in the Empire league.
