ST ANNE S SENTINEL WATCHING OVER OUR COMMUNITY St Anne s Central School Newsletter Term 4 Week 4 2017 Welcome to Week 4! Once again our generous parents and community have excelled in the Garden Viewing last Sunday. I am told this event is in its 31 st year. This event has become a great tradition for our community and a valuable fundraising opportunity. Many thanks to the dedicated group of parents who organised the day and a big thank you to those who had their gardens open for the day - Rob & Helen Oliver, Graham & Lorraine Sinclair, Kris & Kylie Dunstan, Lindsay & Sandra Lowes. Today is All Souls Day and yesterday was All Saints Day. All Saints Day does not only commemorate saints who are formally recognised by the Church. Saints also include those not formally recognised and may include family members, friends and public figures, both living and dead who still inspire us. Who are the saints in your life? In each newsletter from now on we will include a link to a short video which reflects on the Sunday s gospel. These video clips are by Fr McKinnon from the Ballarat Diocese. These clips are quite short and not only unpack the historical setting of the gospel reading but also offer challenges for us to consider please take the time to watch the first one: http://johnmckinnon.org/ Year 3 had a long but fun-filled day in Canberra yesterday at Questacon and the Botanic Gardens. Thank you to those teachers who attended this excursion and to Mrs Collins for organising this. Please try to drop in to our Young Minds New Designs exhibition next Tuesday to view the finished wood and metal projects and to watch the drama performances.
