The South Point Local Board of Education held its regular meeting on April 14, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. The following members present: Mr. Blake, Mrs. Keatley, Mr. Nuckols, Mr. Roberts, and Mrs. Tyler. Mrs. Keatley led prayer and the Board led the Pledge of Allegiance. 57-14 MINUTES APPROVED Mr. Blake moved second by Mrs. Keatley to approve the minutes of the March regular and special board meetings. 58-14 APPROVAL OF BILLS Mr. Robers moved second by Mr. Blake to review and approve payment of March 2014 bills paid. 59-14 FINANCIAL REPORT APPROVED Mr. Blake moved second by Mr. Roberts to approve the financial report, including the bank reconciliation, the SM-2 report, the financial summary report, the FUNDSUMM report and a list of all checks paid for the month of March, 2014 as presented by the Treasurer. 60-14 AMENDED CERTIFICATE FY 2013-14 APPROVED Mrs. Keatley moved second by Mr. Roberts to approve Amended Certificate of Estimated Resources for fiscal year 2013-14 as presented by the Treasurer. 61-14 AMENDED APPROPRIATIONS FY 2013-14 APPROVED Mrs. Keatley moved second by Mr. Blake to approve amended appropriations for fiscal year 2013-14 as presented by the Treasurer.

62-14 DISTRICT BIDS Mr. Blake moved second by Mrs. Tyler to approve the bidding for milk, bread, tires, fuel, and pest control for the 2014-15 school year. 63-14 HEALTH INSURANCE PROVIDER AND RATES APPROVED Mr. Roberts moved second by Mr. Blake to approve employee health insurance with the Southern Ohio Health Insurance Consortium with Anthem BC/BS as carrier for the 2014-15 school year. Family premium $1,605.17; Single premium $649.86. 64-14 SPHS GRADUATION LIST 2014 Mrs. Tyler moved second by Mr. Blake to approve the South Point High School graduation list for the 2013-2014 school year as presented by the Superintendent. 65-14 SCHOOL CALENDAR 2014-2015 APPROVED Mr. Roberts moved second by Mr. Blake to approve the school calendar for school year 2014-2015 as presented by the Superintendent. 66-14 SPHS COLOR GUARD TRYOUTS Mrs. Keatley moved second by Mr. Roberts to approve the try-out date and judges for the South Point High School color guard team as presented.

67-14 TAG CAMP APPROVED Mrs. Keatley moved second by Mr. Blake to approve the request of Misty Pitsenbarger to take TAG students to Newport Kentucky to participate in the Newport Aquarium Overnight Adventure Program on May 19 th and 20 th. Misty Pitsenbarger, Courtney Pitsenbarger and Mary Beth Goodson will serve as chaperones for the trip. 68-14 J. SHAH RESIGNATION, SPHS PRINCIPAL Mr. Blake moved second by Mr. Roberts to accept the resignation of Jayshree Shah as South Point High School Principal contingent upon being hired by the Board of Education as the South Point High School Assistant Principal with a two-year contract effective June 10, 2014 as recommended by the Superintendent. ADAMS RESIGNATION, BRES CUSTODIAN Mr. Blake moved second by Mr. Roberts to accept the resignation of Kim Adams as 10-month custodian at Burlington Elementary effective March 28, 2014 as per her request. 70-14 G. RUNYON RETIREMENT Mr. Blake moved second by Mrs. Keatley to approve the retirement and severance of Gailard Runyon as 12-month custodian at South Point High School effective May 1, 2014 as per his request. 71-14 K. HURST RETIREMENT Mr. Blake moved second by Mr. Roberts to approve the retirement and severance of Kenneth Hurst as teacher at South Point Middle School effective June 1, 2014 as per his request

DELONG RETIREMENT Mr. Blake moved second by Mrs. Tyler to approve the retirement and severance of Martha Delong as teacher at South Point Elementary effective June 1, 2014 as per her request. 73-14 SUPPLEMENTAL CONTRACT RESIGNATIONS 2013-14 Mr. Blake moved second by Mr. Roberts to accept the following supplemental contract resignations effective at the end of the 2013-14 seasons.
