Graduate Career Pathways Congratulations to our 2016 Year 12 cohort on the outstanding results they have achieved. The IB Diploma Programme (DP) is a rigorous, academically challenging and balanced two-year programme of education designed specifically to prepare students for success at university and in life beyond. We are incredibly proud of our graduating cohort and their achievements. Research conducted by the IB consistently finds favourably in comparisons of the DP and international curriculums in terms of rigour and university preparation. Many of our students have chosen to study nationally at Australian National University, University of Melbourne, Monash University, University of Sydney and University of New South Wales. One of the many advantages of attaining an IB Diploma is the recognition of the qualification at all of the world s leading universities. A number of our students are applying and accepting offers internationally, including Cambridge University. At a local level, the majority of our students have accepted offers to study at The University of Queensland and a significant number at Queensland University of Technology. We wish our graduates the very best as they embark on the next step in their academic life. Based on a range of research indicating that DP exam results are not just useful in gaining university admission, but also a predictor of continued success at university; we are confident they leave QASMT well prepared for their tertiary studies.
