C4RE Class Teachers To deepen Teacher-Student-Relationship (TSR), all Form Teachers and Co-Form Teachers are henceforth known as C4RE (pronounced as Care) Teachers, and will collaborate as a team to attend to the students needs Each class will have two or three C4RE Teachers and students can approach any of them should they need guidance and assistance 2

ClassDojo ClassDojo is a communication app for the classroom. It facilitates a two-way communication between teacher and parents. Teachers will be using this app for important messages on class matters, school matters and/or individual student feedback. Parents can respond, seek feedback and/or send concerns to the teacher directly. 14
General Guidelines for Use of ClassDojo Teachers may not be able to respond to queries immediately, especially those that come in late in the evening. The app should not be used for asking about homework etc. Students are expected to be responsible in jotting down homework and other important information in their handbook. 15

What is it? o A non-weighted test to: gauge pupils readiness level to face the P5 demand and rigour identify learning gaps that may hinder the progress of learning new concepts o Replaces existing CA1 in Term 1 o Change implemented in 2017 30

What Happens After the Test? o Pupils who need extra support to bridge the learning gaps will be identified. o They will attend Banded Remediation lessons from Term 2 onwards. o Those who are not identified may choose to take part in preparatory stage for selected competitions. 32
What is Banded Remediation? o Pupils will be grouped according to their areas for improvement o Targeted remediation will take place on Monday and/or Tuesday afternoons (2.15 p.m. to 3.45 p.m.) o A pupil may be scheduled to attend more than one subject for remediation lessons. 33
Banded Remediation Unlike past years where all pupils attend supplementary lessons Effort to monitor overall well-being of pupils Quality teaching and learning take place during curriculum hours pupils not selected for remediation will not be disadvantaged in any way *A detailed letter will be given to your child later in the term. 34

DSA Direct School Admission (DSA) allows students to seek admission to a secondary school on the basis of talents and achievements that may not be demonstrated at the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE). enables students to enter suitable academic and nonacademic programmes in Secondary Schools that can develop the students in these areas.
