RECRUITMENT INITIATIVES Type of Recruitment Initiative (Menu Selection) 1 Participated in event/program sponsored by or on behalf of an educational institution related to careers in broadcasting Brief Description of Activity The Georgia Association of Broadcasters and the University of Georgia ( UGA ) collaborated to bring the Radio Talent Institute ( RTI ) to UGA s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication. RTI brings in broadcast professionals from around the state and country to be the guest professional faculty and to teach future broadcasters. On May 9, 2017, our SEU s Market Manager taught four (4) classes at the RTI: Why Radio; Understanding Competitive Media; The Difference in Features and Benefits; Elements of a Good Written Proposal. 2 Participate in Job Fair On April 12, 2017, our SEU participated in the South Carolina Broadcasters Association 15 th Annual Collegiate Job Fair, which was held at the South Carolina National Guard Armory in Columbia. SEU participants included our Operations Manager and Promotions Director, who discussed careers in radio with attendees as well as employment opportunities within the SEU. 3 Participated in event/program sponsored by or on behalf of a community organization related to careers in broadcasting On September 29, 2016, our SEU sponsored a booth at the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce Taste of the Low Country Business Expo held at the Savannah Ben Marina. SEU participants included our Market Manager who discussed careers in radio with attendees as well as employment opportunities within the SEU.
