The Flexible MBA The Next Step at Your Pace Robinson s Flexible MBA (Flex MBA) is, as its name implies, flexible: flexible in terms of course load; flexible in terms of times of day when courses are offered and flexible in terms of majors, concentrations and dual-degree programs. You determine how many or how few courses you take per semester, an amount that may vary from one semester to the next. Some Flex MBA students take a full course load and graduate in two years. Others take fewer classes, earning their degree in three to five years. There are 20 concentrations/majors, several career path majors and dual-degree options including MBA/JD and MBA/ MHA. You also choose the time of day during which you take many classes. Unlike most MBA programs, Robinson offers Flex MBA courses not only in the evening but also in the late afternoon. Additionally, students can start any time of year fall, spring or summer semester. Most courses are taught at our downtown campus, but many are taught at GSU s Alpharetta Center. Admissions Admission to Robinson s Flex MBA and PMBA programs is highly competitive. We seek motivated candidates with a demonstrated track record of academic achievement. Applicants must hold a four-year undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university. Acceptance is by rolling admission. Applicants to all programs must submit the following: Application Resume GMAT scores Post-secondary education transcripts Essay $50 application fee Work Experience. Flex MBA applicants must have, at minimum, one year of professional work experience. Four or more years experience is required for admission to the PMBA program. Interviews. Applicants who are strong candidates for the PMBA program will be interviewed by the admissions committee. Applicants to the Flex MBA program are not interviewed. Letters of Recommendation. A letter of recommendation is optional for Flex MBA applicants and required for PMBA applicants. A maximum of three are accepted. Financial Aid. Need and merit-based financial aid is available for U.S. citizens and permanent residents enrolled in the Flex MBA and PMBA programs. The Professional MBA Fast Track Your Success Robinson s executive-format Professional MBA (PMBA) is for high-performing, early-career professionals who want to earn an MBA in two years while continuing to work full time. Focused on leadership, Robinson s PMBA is the only MBA offered in Georgia that is on the Aspen Institute s Global 100 list of programs that are preparing students for the environmental, social and ethical complexities of modern-day business. In order to stimulate peer learning, students proceed as a cohort and are chosen for admission, in part, based on their potential contribution to the group. The admissions committee also considers candidates career goals, maturity and ability to perform well in a condensed, demanding program. Applicants must possess, at minimum, four years professional experience during which they have demonstrated the potential for advancement. PMBA students are supported by a staff team that handles registration, orders and delivers textbooks/course materials, and coordinates appointments with Robinson s Career Management Center for services that include one-to-one counseling and coaching.
