SUMMARY Habilitation Thesis Irina-Virginia DRAGULANESCU

In contemporary development process, many changes have taken place in modern society, human role increase, due mainly to its ability creative values, and the effects are visible even in terms of high capitalization of natural resources. Thus, the human factor through harnessing rational of the resources in general and especially of those scarce becomes the central element of sustainable development. The development of competition because of globalization has generated new economic mechanisms, turned the status quo, generating offshoring the production activity, distribution, exchange and consumption. Competition globalization and internationalization of various economic interests have consequently the opening of local and national economic areas to the global economy. So, was generated the necessity of customer orientation, and changing consumer demands obliges organizations to focus on creating and providing value to the market by: continuous innovation, new aesthetics, unique experience. In these circumstances, companies' success does not depend decisively on production facilities or material capital, as it was in the previous century. These elements add additional value to products and services provided to the firms and customers but also the company itself. Human intelligence is the primary factor in wealth organizations, thus recognition of the importance of value of intangible assets, in particular knowledge, are features of the new economy. One of the main features of knowledge is recognition of the importance of intangible value. Insufficient presentation of intangible assets in the balance sheet does not confer to the financial statements, the quality of comprehensive information resource. At present, the financial statements reflect only part of the organizations intangible assets, although in most organizations they became the main generators of revenue and expenditure. Consequently, these assets are not operated at their real value. Moreover, accounting information related to these intangible resources are scarce or almost non-existent. In this paper, entitled Aspects of Sustainable Development: tourism, environment and agriculture, are highlighted major moments in my professional throughout and the main theoretical and methodological contributions developed within projects undertaken after obtaining a doctoral degree title. Choice of the topic addressed in this habilitation thesis represent my achievements scientific, professional and academic because approached theme is the area of my continuous activity, professional and scientific.
