Fourth Annual BRONX LIVE ENDOSCOPY COURSE Friday, September 29, 2017 Tishman Learning Center Montefiore Moses Campus 111 East 210th Street Bronx, New York 10467 GENERAL INFORMATION Statement of Need The field of endoscopy has rapidly evolved with the introduction of innovative diagnostic techniques and novel therapies. The endoscopist frequently encounters difficult issues and controversies in patient management. This course will enable the learner to grasp and apply new information and evolving technological innovations to enhance patient outcomes. Activity Goals The goals are to help the learner improve his or her knowledge of gastrointestinal diseases and disorders, enhance the quality of his or her practice and foster an evidence-based approach to endoscopic decision-making for commonly encountered and controversial problems in gastroenterology. Learning Objectives At the conclusion of the program, participants should be able to: Describe emerging endoscopic techniques for managing difficult gastrointestinal diseases. Describe methods of increasing efficiency, improving quality and decreasing complications in gastrointestinal endoscopy units. Recognize high quality colonoscopy techniques and incorporating the latest metric and quality indicators. Identify the latest advances in endoscopic imaging and be able to apply these techniques to patient care. Intended Audience This activity is intended for practicing gastroenterologists, endoscopists, GI fellows, residents and nurses and other healthcare professionals involved in endoscopy and the care of patients with gastrointestinal diseases.

Accreditation Albert Einstein College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
